[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this camera for a couple of weeks and I am frustrated with it. I set it up at first inside using the Google Home app which works, but the picture can't be enlarged without flipping between portrait and landscape which is super frustrating. I've tried to find a setting to lock it but there isn't one. So I decided to set up the nest app. I've tried to set it up by scanning the bar code which then moves to the Google home app, but it never finishes set up. I tried setting it up using the 6 digit entry key which never finishes set up. Honestly at this point I am beyond frustrated. The picture looks like it can be good, but since I can't get the product to set up correctly I'm not really sure.

Day and night with the included night vision we know who and what is on our property. Crystal clear picture. Highly recommend it. hoping to add one in the back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great item, not only is this nest cam perfectly sized, it is made durable and easily able to use and, more importantly you can use it indoors and outdoors and it has a 3-hour storage for your icloud. I am currently using it indoors as I recently got a puppy. It is an awesome cam and now I can keep an eye out for my pup. Absolutely love it!

You can add up to six people to the Nest Cam. Example, I have the Nest Cam on my garage pointing to my backyard and driveway. I was at the gym and I could see and talk to my husband and kids though the app. It's wireless and magnet on it is strong,. I love this. I can check my home at anytime . It's a genius product and well made.

I love being able to check on my outdoor animals while I'm away at work. It's perfect. Plus we get a lot of amazing wildlife videos!!

It is completely malleable in terms of how you aim it but it is rock solid in its connection. They will never unintentionally come apart. The integration with Google Home was easy and the alerts work exactly as you would hope. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so far. Compared to another similar, less expensive camera, the only benefit I have found is this camera is more suited for outdoor use. The magnet which secures the camera to the mount is very sturdy (I have wondered how to protect it against thieves if the camera was placed outside). There have also been black horizontal lines through the picture at various times and I cannot determine what is making it happen. Not sure I would buy again for indoor or outdoor use again.

This area is a blind spot for us and faces the entrance to our cul-de-sac. We own a couple of other Nest products and it is a reputable brand that I trust with performance and longevity. This camera also has several features which helped in making our decision to get this camera. It can be used indoors or outdoors, it is powered by the built-in rechargeable battery, and it can provide intelligent notifications (motion is caused by people, animals, or vehicles). This product was very easy to set up and install. You will first need to plug the Nest Cam into an outlet, download the Google Home app, create an account and follow the steps to set up the camera by selecting Nest Cam(battery). There is a sticker on the camera lens which has a QR code that you will need to scan to connect the camera to your home's Wi-Fi network. After connecting, you will be given the opportunity to enroll in a 15-day Nest Aware trial period which one needs to view recordings longer than the most recent 3 hours and also the face recognition feature. This is a con to me when subscriptions are required to reap further benefits. Installing the Nest Cam was quite simple as all you need to do is attach the mounting plate, with the enclosed screws and anchors, to the area you want to place the camera then lock the magnetic plate onto the mounting plate and secure the camera to the magnetic plate. The camera holds steadily once installed. The beauty of it being battery powered is that you can place it anywhere! The video quality is superb for both day and night and the motion detection and intelligent notifications were precise. I liked that these alerts can be tailored such as you may only want to be notified when a person causes the motion and not a car or animal. The app is easy to use and we are reassured that we can readily monitor our house while we are home or away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed our Nest Cam on our front porch so that we can see who's at the door and who's walking up the front sidewalk. Our front porch is pretty small and recessed so I was surprised that the Nest Cam would be able to capture the door and sidewalk. The lens is wide enough to capture it all. Installation was super easy! There are very few parts - just the camera, charging cable, the mounting plate and a few screws. The mounting plate is magnetic so it's really easy to adjust the camera angle and move it up and down to get it just where you want it. The magnet is very strong. It definitely won't move unless you move it. Setting up the camera in the Google Home app was equally simple. The app recognized the new device and I was viewing the video from the camera within minutes. The coolest thing about the Nest Cam is that it will detect faces on the camera and let you name or label those faces and then let you know when that person is at the door. Very cool! Overall, I'm very pleased with the Nest Cam and I am already planning where I would put another one.

The magnetic mount is quick and est to give any angle needed. Downside - if could be easy to steal. Excellent audio and video quality. Motion detection is good. Google Home App very easy to us.
