[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally got my Nest Camera yesterday and got it set up immediately. It is a really nice compact little camera. It was easy to migrate with my other Nest product (smoke alarm). The camera has a nice clear picture. I haven't quite decided where I'm going to permanently place it. I plan to use it to monitor my doggy. I like that I can charge camera and that it also has a battery. If you want a nice, small and compact camera I highly recommend the Nest product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this camera to use outside my garage to monitor activity in the driveways and to monitor deliveries. It’s working great and I love you don’t have to plug it in! The setup is easy. My wife was home when it came and she opened it and we both set it up on our phones with the Google home app. It’s very self explanatory and we didn’t even use the instructions once we downloaded the app. Installing the camera only took me about 5 minutes and that’s mainly because I couldn’t find my drill. They recommend you place it around 6.5ft high. It has a very strong magnet that keeps it in place and I was shocked at how strong it is. The camera is nice because it alerts you with movement and if it’s from a person or animal. It does save 3 hours for free and if you want to scan back to past dates they have very inexpensive subscriptions. Every security camera I have had has never given me any free storage only a live feed. The other feature that I love is you can talk/use the mic on the camera. So if you did catch someone out there who was not supposed to be there you can speak to them/tell them the cops are called etc. We live in the mountains and have bears come up so we will try to scare them off by talking through the mic. The battery lasted me about a month before I had to recharge it. We move a lot so not having to hard wire it makes it easy to take from place to place with only drilling the plate into the wall not worrying about plug-ins. Overall this is a great way to monitor indoor and outdoor. It’s water resistant (not waterproof) so make sure it has a little cover. Mine is outdoor and just the little amount of roof cover protects it find. We get a lot snow and it’s been perfectly fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up is So easy! Download Google Home App and add camera. The best part is not having to deal with wires, so just mount and go. I suggest you do face recognition before mounting. The magnetic mount is very strong and the battery life still almost full after 2 tweeks. Video and two way sound I found to be very clear. Features animal detection, vehicle detection and familiar face is awesome. Like competitors subscription required for 24H /7 or 3 hours worth of events free. Google Nest Cam does not work with Amazon,Alexa or integrate with other security systems, but you should know that before you buy. The bottom line is if you like easy and quick install this camera is for you.

The camera was well packaged and included everything needed to mount it. The set up was very easy to navigate. The picture is very clear and night vision works great! We love having this to watch the wildlife in our backyard. It's very easy to take down to charge and stays up even in very windy conditions. This is a great camera.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my Nest cam, it is an amazing camera with great video feed and picture with clear video at night as well! Very easy to install anywhere and even better has batteries so I don't have to bring somebody to install it or wire it for me. The app lets you view the video feed at any time and you can listen and talk back as well. Also can set alerts and activity zones on it if anything happens such as a person walks by it will send you an alert. I also like that they give you 3 hours of history without having to pay for it, with my doorbell from a different company they make me pay. Where this really starts to shine is when you have a lot of Google products like the Google Home hub you can view the camere through the hub at any time. I love that feature and it is so helpful. Amazing camera, highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I added this camera to the front of my garage so I can see my driveway. It has an excellent picture night and day. The setup was extremely easy. I just had to scan a code and follow the instructions on my phone. Highly recommended!

This product itself is good. Nice looking and easy installation. However, it also comes with cons that I especially care about. 1. IP rating. All competitor in outdoor cam industry has high IP rating IP 67. This cam has much lower IP rating, which really made me hesitate at the beginning. 2. It's dang 1080p. Every player is doing 2K at minimum but nest is only offering 1080K, which is ridiculously weird. 3. Not matter you buy a 2-pack, 3-pack or 4 pack, they all come with a single charging cable, which again is unbelievably stupid idea. Consumers are required to buy extra accessories at their own so why don't include them in the box?That being said, I am in the Google ecosystem so I figured I can live with these cons above and see if Google's software can bring some excitement, like my pixel phone. I hope Google can hear more voice from customers before making some dumb trade-offs on their products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the Nest Cam a couple of weeks back and absolutely love it so far. Simple, easy install and produces great video. Great for peice of mind when we're traveling. We love it because we can alert our neighbors to grab packages off our doorstep when we're away. App is easy to use and setup as well. Highly recommend!

When purchased. The giant advertisement wasn’t presented that it doesn’t work with the nest app. Best app is a much better platform. You can make a great product and support it with a subpar platform and ruin its reputation. Please don’t contact me about this review unless it’s to tell me the nest app works with it now. Or that you’re completely overhauling the google home app. Which I highly doubt.
