Will need to purchase more to fully secure the house. The magnetic mount makes installation easy. You just download the app. Follow the set up steps and you have a live camera with microphone and recording. I feel more secure when my husband travels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently set up my Google Nest (battery operated indoor/outdoor) camera, and I am quite pleased with the simplicity of installation. It has a magnetic base to attach to for easy removal should you need to charge or move to another location. I also am pleased with the picture itself and the images I can still see at night. One of the other features I like is the phone alerts I receive when someone enters the "Monitored" area I have the camera set to. It all pairs well as an "add on' to my Smart Home which provides me comfort, peace of mind, and ease of use.

I I love that you can see what is happening on my phone when I'm doing inside or outside work. I’m not an electrician so for battery operated, is a plus for me, because I do not know how to hard wire anything. I loved that it is night vision and also good quality video. Very impressed with this camera. Love this nest cam, planning to have more for my house, but for outdoor.

That within itself says a lot because I’m not usually tech savvy. It was extremely user friendly and took no time! I’m highly impressed with the image quality even the night time mode surpassed my expectations beyond belief! They out done themselves with this tiny but mighty little camera. It gives us peace of mind for sure! We are thrilled to be able to check in the house whenever we are away. Absolutely hands down a good, quality little investment. Would highly recommend!

I wanted to monitor my dog while I’m at work and don’t need storage of video, for that it works flawlessly. I can view at any time and the video is clear. The sound is good and the microphone works well too. I’ve had other cameras where the mic distorts so that was a plus. I didn’t have any trouble with set up, it was very easy except that I downloaded nest and they have switched to Google Home. This is my first nest product so this didn’t affect me. I hate subscription models so I would never that feature, but you need it if you want more than 3 hours of backed up video. I don’t need this but it would be a deterrent for many.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to get my Nest Cam (Outdoor or Indoor, Battery). This is the first time using a security camera, and I really like this one. The overall camera design , size and color is clever, simple and aesthetically pleasing. It comes with a super strong magnetic plate, which allows for a multitude of flexibility in how you want to position the camera. The mounting of it is straight forward and easy, using a wall plate, wall screws and wall anchors. The installation may take a little effort, depending on how tech savy you are. Good news is that there is plenty of support to help you get started if you need it. The video quality is good, the images are clear. I am using it at my front door for added security and love that you get alerts of any movement detected.

It has a real good battery life even though bring it in the house to charge could become annoying. On the other hand it allowed me to place it where I wanted and I did not have to worry about the power source.

It’s small enough that it doesn’t look tacky mounted on my porch. The camera allows me to check on my home any time that I am away. It alerts me during activity and night vision makes it more versatile.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Camera is fast and easy to set up, and install. It comes in 2 pieces, the base and the camera that attach together with a strong magnet. I love that I dont have to worry about running ugly cords! I installed it outdoors, well above the recommended 6ft and the quality is still great! Its great that I can view the camera from my phone and also my google nest hub...perfect for keeping an eye on my kids while I cook dinner! The camera also has a 2 way built in microphone that works great as well. I've had the camera installed for about 3 weeks and the battery life is still good, the app lets me know how much battery life is left. The camera/app saves 3 hours of video history, but you can purchase a subscription through Google for more storage. The 3 hours has been sufficient for me so far! I definitely will be buying a few more of these for my home.
