Fantastic 4k TV with unique features

I purchased this TV to replace my Samsung plasma 50 inch TV because of lacking features. The plasma TV was over 12 years old and I was very happy with it but time takes its toll. I was surprised at the features on the 2018 model I purchased. The color is really good and the pictures are Clear and realistic. The sound from the 20 watt amp is better than expected and the wifi is supburb. It was very light in weight and easy to install but a manual like the old TV had would have been better than the electronic version for learning the features. It also works with Alexa for turning on and off, but not channel changing or volume but definitely a plus. My model also does not support bluetooth which would have been a plus. All and all I love this TV and would recommend almost any Samsung product I have purchased over the years for reliability and quality. I did purchase a Samsung soundbar with wireless woofer and I really like that too. You cannot go wrong with this model and any one of these TV's from series 6 to series 8. Verified Purchase

Like, but no Bluetooth

The tv picture is great and it connects to streaming tv easy. The remote is a hassle as the controls you need the most to type are too low and hard to reach. Often to press the back or exit button and are kicked back to the beginning. Unfortunately the tv does not have Bluetooth either, this should be standard nowadays.

Not suitable for watching sports

I have spent 4 hours chatting with Samsung technicians and they have had control of the TV, updated the software, etc. The picture is EXTREMELY blurred when there is action in a game. Taking back to Sams. I have 4 other Samsung TVs and they are great. This model does not function. Probably why they are dumping on customers for $549

Do NOT buy if you watch sports!

We were so excited at first to get this on the 1 day event until turning on to watch a football game. AWFUL picture motion blur! We couldn't even track the football it was that bad. We do not recommend. We will be returning. Surprised as it's the Samsung brand!

Sound Keeps Going Out

What is up with Samsung? They used to make QUALITY products. I am very disappointed in this. I purchased this TV in September 2019. My 1st one was damaged so I immediately did an in-store return and now this sound issue. The sound will pulse and then go out. If you turn the channel it will come back but that does not always last. The speaker are not good quality either. You literally have to have the sound blasted or purchase a sound bar. Also had issues for a while with turning it on. I would have to unplug and plug back in as if I had to reboot it or something. I have not had issues with the power lately so I am assuming that corrected itself. And based on the reviews, it appears I am not the only one having issues. This SUCKS!

Was Great at first...

When I first purchased the TV, I was very happy with it. No issues setting it up and using the Smart Features. Not a bad TV at all... But then a Black Bar has appeared on the Right Hand side of the screen. I have been reading a lot of other Samsung TV owners are having the same issues and nothing is being done about it. Very Disappointed with this purchase!

Full of bloatware

I returned this piece of junk and don't recommend it to anyone. This is why I don't by Samsung products. Samsung fill there phones with blaotware and now they fill TV's with unremovable blaotware. How dare you force your junk on me! When I pay for a TV that means it's my property and I should be able to do and watch what I see fit. Never again.

Great image quality, underwhelming apps

I just bought this tv and am just a little disapointed. Half the reason I upgraded from an old LG was to get newer versions of apps, mainly hulu with live tv. Always believed Samsung was top shelf when it comes to features but this TV runs an older version of hulu without live, though it is brand new. Probably going to return it for a tv that does feature hulu live. Very satisfied with image clarity however and other apps.

Screen went out

A little after a month I got it, as a Christmas/ Birthday gift the screen appeared with lines on it. I had a technician come out and they said it is not repairable and that someone through something at it. No one was home all that day and I did not get home until 10pm.

Unfortunate

1yr8mo of owning this tv & it's shot. half screen is blacked out. online forums reveal this is common. figures it has less than 3star reviews. i have owned many tv brands, but this is my shortest lived one. of course it's outside of warranty. i realized tvs are consumables nowadays but less than 2 years for a “quality” brand is not acceptable. too bad too because picture quality was nice.
