very disappointed

I already own a 65" 7 series and I love it. I bought this 6 series because the price was right and I was looking for another tv. The difference between the two is eyeopening. The picture is much too dark despite trying every adjustment possible. I gave it to a friend and bought an 8 series which I love.

Horrible TV

My 10 year old samsung 1080p TV is 1000 times better then this. Colors are sucks. Doesnt get bright at all. I thought this TV will replace my 10 year old 55 inch 1080p TV but no I went back to my old TV and gave my parents this TV even they hate it. There is no way to make the TV bright.

Was great, until it wasn't

i purchased my un50nu6900b tv new in late 2019. it worked perfectly as it hung on my wall & just did what a tv should do. about 6 months ago, 1 of the hdmi ports stopped working. to connect a game system along with the firestick, i had to purchase an hdmi splitter to make that work. but it worked. then yesterday while watching a show, the entire right side went out. i can't see the right 25%. it's awful. i know i didn't pay a fortune for it. but it should last longer than 27 months. this is enough to turn me away from samsung tvs. i have an older lg in the bedroom mounted on that wall that i have had for at least 10 years plus it's moved across the state with me. never a glitch! i'm disabled and can not afford to buy new tv's every couple years.

Affordable and works great

Not sure why so many people are compaining about this TV. Shipping aside, they must have messed up on their own. This is a great TV and works flawlessly and I have had it for a year and a half. I wish it had more HDMI cables but I knew what I was getting when I bought the TV. It connects to the WiFi effortlessly. Mounts easily too!

Great Tv so far

I actually just bought the Tv not long ago. I've owned a few 4K TVs in the past but this one is the best. Quality is great. Sound is great. Love the fact that has Apple Music, Apple TV and Airplay. Not sure what the complaints are. Also if this Tv last me a year or longer, I'm happy

Not too bad

I just bought this TV a few days ago, and while I admit, I haven't watched a ton and am barely learning the ins and outs of the remote and all the features, I will have to wait until I have more time to review. That being said, thus far, it seems very similar to my 10 year old Samsung, the only reason I purchased a new one was because I wanted something a little less bulky and easier for one person to move.

A failure across the board.

Although this TV is still operating after 6 years, it has never stopped being a royal pain when it comes to ease of use, speaker issues, and picture control. The ongoing automatic brightness and dimming problem works in precisely the opposite way it should. Even switching off all options for energy conservation, contrast balance, and ambient light adjustment, the picture continues to go noticeably dimmer on DARK scenes and noticeably brighter on LIGHT scenes. The speakers "pop" sometimes when you skip forward or backward while streaming, however that seems more dependent on the service. There should be a feedback safety for this reason. The menu and on-screen indicator functionality is also unpleasant and, after an update, has gotten worse when Samsung forced the "hub" menu to default to "Universal Guide" selection when pressing the Home button, instead of the Source or Settings selection like it used to be; zero option has been given to change that back. It honestly feels like it's not our TV anymore if they can just change how it works without any input or control from us. We're also not a fan of the very large opaque volume indicator appearing on-screen covering up a significant portion of the picture. Older models had simple translucent graphic bars showing the level that didn't interfere with the experience. Why does Samsung reinvent the wheel?!

Great at first...then not

this was a fantastic tv for a year. right after the 1 year warranty was up, the picture is bleached out. still has a picture but it's mostly white. i have had nothing but good experiences with samsung tvs up until this one. would not recommend this model! and based on my research, this is a very common problem that i with samsung would step up and address.

The lemon of all lemons-SAVE YOUR MONEY

what happened samsung?!?!?! i bought this 70in tv in 2020 and in under 2 years the tv is dead. this by far is the quickest tv to stop working. i feel like samsung should fix this for all who have had issues with this horrible model of a tv. the power source is out and the repair would cost 50% of the original purchased price. we didn't use the tv frequently enough to be dead already. i have another samsung smart tv in my house that has been working perfectly for 6 years. save your money a buy another brand or model

Picture

the picture quality is good but everything else sucks. this tv is in my media room and was very poorly made. first and my least favorite thing about this tv is that there are only two hdmi ports. its 2020 people play multiple video games and have sound bars and streaming devices and you only put two hdmi porta on the tv. everytime i want to switch from playstation to xbox i have to unhook something. then one of the ports are trash. whenever i want to watch my streaming device i have to unplug it and replug it smh. the sound is just ok. this is a big tv i expected better. i will not be buying another samsung product. vizio is better.
