I bought this cheese for a recipe and had it in my fridge. When i went to use it, it was full of clumps of mold. It was unopened and was not expired. I had to cancel my supper. Very dissapointing and embarrassing.

Molds ahead of expiration date by months, Every. Single. Time. Even with diligent refrigeration and promptly putting in the fridge after use there is no resolve. It is not allowing me to upload the pictures of the mold on my March 24, 2026 parmesan cheese.

Please do not be mistaken by its supposed long shelf life. The best if used by date is so far away from the time this cheese develops mold. Three times in my house now, with two different fridges. We do not use our bare hands to grab this cheese and yet it develops mold after a few weeks. Stay away from this unless you are guaranteed to use this within a few weeks.

I bought it without looking closely expecting it to be similar to the Kirkland shredded Parmesan and boy was I wrong. It’s bland and just does not taste great. I’ve used it once and pretty bad compared to other Parmesan cheeses, not sure what I’ll do with the rest but buyer beware.

Horrendous,it's a shame that Sams would even sell this product. It adds little flavor and doesn't melt into sauces as it should. Although adding twice the amount of this "so called" Parmesan to an Alfredo sauce it left the sauce tasteless, it also "did not" melt completely. Adding to a red sauce produced the same results. I'll purchase and grate "real parmesan".

I've purchased this product before and always liked it. This time, it began to mold about than 2 months before the expiration date. It's not a storage issue - I always keep it tightly covered, don't put my hands into the jar, and it's always in the refrigerator. A real disappointment.

I love this product. It’s perfect for salads and main dishes.

Shredded is so much better than grated.

I'm finding all kinds of dishes to use this in.

We always buy this cheese to complement our salad. Mild taste and a good price.
