SANTA WILL NOT BE GETTING PILLSBURY THIS YEAR! I tried a cookie before realizing the recipe had changed. I thought someone snuck some gluten free garbage into the oven... it was the "new recipe." PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL RECIPE!!! I've never thrown away freshly baked cookies before. After half of one cookie, the rest went in the trash. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can highly recommend this because of the convenience this product is that I can use only what I need. Just put a few in my small oven and I can have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies only when I desire a fresh snack. And what I don't use I put it in a nice sealed zip lock bag.

Our attempt to make the white chocolate macadamia nut version of these cookies was completely unsuccessful.  The oven was preheated to 350 and the cookies properly prepared.  After 18 minutes, they were clearly not done - shiny and squishy.  After 30 minutes they looked unchanged, but we took them out and discovered that the white chunks weren't really melted, and were surrounded with raw, melted dough.  The cookie was hollow underneath, like a mushroom, except for the glop of white chocolate and raw dough.  The expiration date was seven weeks in the future, the oven is a modern and  reliable Aga, and we live at sea level, so not sure what went wrong.  My wife is a very experienced baker just looking for a Super Bowl prep shortcut. Cookies made from scratch don't have these problems, so no more packaged experiments for us.

Loved this cookie dough. I have been buying it for years to make cookies for family, friends, and clients. The substitute pre-shaped cookies are not the same recipe. They do not taste the same and are not nearly as good. I guess I will have to start making my own dough.

I don't usually use packaged cookies. I usually make my own form a recipe on a chocolate bits package. I don't know what the "old recipe" for these cookies tasted like so I can't judge. However, I don't know what the fuss is. The old recipe must have been the best cookies on earth because I found this recipe to be satisfactory.

My family has bought the old receipe for a long time and loved it. We gave the new one a try and we hate it! The taste and texture is what we don't like. Please go back to the original recipe! If others want a simplified recipe, then why not make a new brand of cookie dough that is simplified AND keep the original recipe for those that love it? You'd make twice the money off of them. We won't be buying cookies again.

The fact that they are quick, easy to bake and leaves no messy clean up puts them at the top of charts for a family dessert. Cost effective too if you have a lot of cookie monsters to feed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically do not by these types of premade cookie dough, but I wanted a quick baking project for ng kids. Now I remember why I do not by then. The cookies spread out so thin and crunchy it was like eating a cracker. The flavor wasn't that good either and had a lot of artificial tastes. The time saves us not worth the money when no one enjoyed the cookies.

I just want to say I am very unhappy with the new chocolate chip recipe. I understand the goal is to create a   "healthy" cookie but this new version is disgusting. My son and I are so disappointed, we loved making chocolate cookies, and getting a glass of milk and sitting by fireplace and watching movies. Perhaps you could bring the old recipe back and sell both. This way customers could have a choice of the cookie they preferred.
