The new recipe is absolutely disgusting.  I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. I used to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch and was known for them.  When I discovered the Pillsbury ones tasted exactly like my home made ones, I started substituting them and have done so for years.  People are always shocked that they were not from scratch.  I am so glad that I noticed the package stated "new recipe" and gave them a test try before Thanksgiving, because it would have been a disaster had I attempted to serve these. They don't bake well, the texture is off, they don't taste very good and they have an absolutely nasty aftertaste.  I don't think I have ever had a cookie with an aftertaste-- and it doesn't leave your mouth easily. I have no clue how these could have gotten past taste testers.  They are virtually inedible. They certainly don't taste "natural".  I think this is the first time in my house that a batch of cookies has been thrown away.  I guess I will be spending more time in the kitchen before Thanksgiving, because I will have to go back to scratch.  Please bring the original back.  If there are actually people that buy these more than once, then you can have two versions if need be. 

I don’t know how the cookies taste because the dough is so good I never want to wait to bake them! Oh my goodness, it’s a killer for me! My husband loves to make homemade ice cream, so I think we might try to crumble the cookie dough & throw it in this summer! I did divide into some smaller containers so I can pull out a small amount to keep in the fridge. I also bought a tube size of the sugar cookies that are similar to these that we did actually bake at Christmas & they were so good! I usually don’t like sugar cookies. But the safe to eat raw dough is a game changer. I never overbake my cookies anymore because I’m worried about getting them done. I pull them out early on purpose to make sure they are still soft & gooey.

These cookies taste like chemicals...I have gone to culinary school. I've been in the industry for more than a decade.. I Will boycott these. I SUGGEST YOU CHANGE YOUR CHEMICAL RECIPE.  Your Chocolate tastes so bad.Your sugar eggs vanilla everything has a weird after taste. Second time we bought it.  I would give it a zero but that star does not exist.  I cannot believe I had to sign all this up, give my email, birth date, waste my time to come up with a screenname..To leave feedback! Like anyone wants to spend time one this site...There's no incentive to be here as a customer.  Nothing free.Pillsbury used to stand for quality..Now we taste all the corners you skipped to make more money.Come up with a better recipe!  Where is your passion like you guys used to have?  Cant believe I wasted my time... But I am upset.   Ive got this terrible taste in my mouth. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this brand of chocolate cookies because you can eat the dough as is or bake them, when you bake them they are “boneless” cookies perfect to pair with ice cream or eat them plain, you can’t eat just one, so delicious!

I like them so much more than my "used to be typical" cookies. I will be buying more of these for sure. Friends told me about them and I'm glad they did!

This is a decent chocolate chip cookie. Good texture, not too sweet, a bit oily. We cut the rolled cookie dough in half lengthwise and then into sections, which we rounded and flattened. Made perfect size cookies. (As an aside, do not buy the rolled sugar cookies - they really taste awful).

I love this product and I am very sad that when I went to the store today I could not find it anymore at the College Station Texas Sam's Club. Please bring this back immediately. I get a tub every month but if you bring this back I will get 2 every month. I need my cookie dough in this very convenient resealable container. Please, I need this in my life again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how delicious these cookies are! They’re so easy to make and they taste like something out of a bakery. All you have to do is take apart the chunks of cookies, place them on a baking sheet, and retrieve them 10-12 minutes later. I love how rich they are and the clean up afterwards is very easy. They are big and fluffy cookies.

If I could give this new recipe no stars I would....I can not for the life of me understand why you would change your recipe...Everyone absolutely loved the original recipe....if it aint broke why fix it?? The new recipe has good texture but the horrid after taste is just vile...I will not be buying these again...Not worth getting my money back...but I guess I will have to find another cookie favorite...This is like when Twinkies died, very sad.....but hey..Twinkies came back.....so maybe Pillsbury will listen to the high demand for their original recipe??? I mean, what do we know...We are just the customers who buy and eat them rite?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always been a Pillsbury lover. When I want chocolate chip cookies I always buy Pillsbury. I feel like they taste better, they are a little more soft and they are a little more gooey! However I always bake them about 2 mins less than what’s described! That way they are just right for me!
