My family and I used to love these cookies. Within the last 3 years something in the recipe changed. It taste oily and like some weird chemical in it. I taste plastic and it taste artificial. I was extremely disappointed as these were my favorite cookies to serve.. I then decided Eh, maybe I had an off day or maybe the batch I bought was going bad. . So I bought the same pack at a completely different store, checked the date and even bought two different flavors, chocolate chip and sugar cookie. Both same out with the same taste. Please change the recipe back.

Have you ever heard of Coke Classic?   There is a reason that Coke failed at changing the recipe as folks grew up with loved the classic flavor.  They did not embrace the change.  I feel in love with the old Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Refrigerated Cookie Dough recipe and it's was my go-to chocolate chip cookie.  I didn't like any other brand.  1st, I ate the dough.  Don't judge - who doesn't do that?  I noticed dough of the new recipe is it has a different taste.  The taste of the dough is no longer a homemade flavor has a slight chemical after-taste.  2nd I noticed how gritty crunchy the dough is.  Almost as though the sugar didn't cream well or egg shells are in the batter.  3rd, after backing - redemption.  The chemical after-taste the grittiness is gone.  Taste similar to the old recipe.  I may not be able to tell the difference in a blind taste test.  I'm only a 50% fan of the new recipe.  Half the fun is eating the dough while preparing a batch to bake.  

Bought the new and improved choc chip cookie dough 2 days ago and LOVED it! I know it’s not good to eat raw dough but that’s how much I loved it. Loved the original dough as well. I dont know what after taste these people are talking about and the dough looked like normal cookie dough as well. Anyways, just thought I’d show some positive feedback.

Pillsbury,Great ingredients, just one question... Can you replace your baking powder with aluminum-free? Aluminum is a huge issue for kids and in so many places, like when parent reheat greasy pizza on foil, cooking, etc. I know it's not a lot but cumulative, cumulative. Otherwise, ingredients are great. Please twerk the recipe if need be for taste but don't give up being a company with a conscious. I've tasted aluminum-free prods and they were great too. It's not necessary. Thanks.

I would add that they are inexpensive to buy. I would highly recommend trying these delicious cookies. I really like these ready to bake chocolate chip cookies!

The fire workers love these cookies and go real fast at church dinners. I will continue to buy and make them for her in her memory Oh, by the way i love to eat these cookies also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So good I had to hide it in my frig so no one else would eat it. Every day I sliced a piece or two off. I only cooked 4 cookies. I ate the rest from frig. Definitely would recommend. I was so excited when I picked it and read I could eat it raw.

Went to the store and the kids requested chocolate chip cookies. I normally by the big size because they go through them quick. I noticed the different packaging and didn't think anything about it. I came home and within a day the kids baked the cookies and said EEEWWW mom whats wrong with these cookies? They checked the date the date was OK then they noticed the packaging said new recipe.  Needless to say they threw the cookies away and told me to throw the rest of the roll away because they were nasty. Guess I'll keep the box top

Garbage ever since they changed the recipe. Won't ever buy them again until they change it back. They used to be so good. They now taste completely different and bake differently as well. Please change them back. Would give zero stars if I could and clearly everyone else feels the same way based on the 2 star review.
