There is no comparison, Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is the best. Just the right amount of sweetness, chocolate chips and whatever gives the cookies the perfect texture. Can't be beat !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are so easy to make, just break the pre portioned dough apart, place on a cookie sheet and bake. Follow the times and no longer and they should come out perfect. The only issue for me is that these were very sweet, a bit too sweet for me to eat too many as they are loaded with chocolate chips

I don’t have to worry if they eat some dough as it’s safe. It also keeps well in the fridge if you don’t want to bake the whole pack at one time.

Convenient for kids, families and also affordable. You bake it from home which is way better than those in plastic containers

It's close enough when you're having a cookie craving and don't have the time or ingredients to make the original. I love that you can safely eat the raw dough also.

I loved these as a child! I cant fathom why you would want to mess up a good cookie recipe. They are disturbingly disgusting. I can say with great certainty that I will not be buying Pillsbury cookies ever again while this recipe is being used. Not happy!

Here let me solve your problem, make both versions of your cookies and let the consumers decide. You keep claiming that you gave customers what they wanted but so far none of your “real” customers are happy. Even coke and Pepsi wouldn’t get rid of the original flavor to try new ones. My wife loved your cookies and one night I bought the new ones and she noticed right away that the flavor was bad and left a bad taste. We thought we had a bad pack or something then we noticed on the package the new changes. JUST MAKE BOTH AND GIVE US A CHOICE!

I never review things online, but I bought the new cookie dough without realizing that there was a new recipe. I then saw all of these negative reviews online and was freaked out that I wasted my money. I baked the cookie dough...and I honestly don't know why there's such outrage. The cookies baked the same for me, and I didn't notice any discernible differences from the old recipe. There wasn't a bad aftertaste. I LOVE dessert and think that the whole natural/gluten-free/organic craze is a scam, but I truly thought this cookie dough tasted the same as the original. Based on the one roll I bought (and have now finished), I won't be deterred from buying it again in the future.

With this don’t I can make big huge fat cookies or small cookies I love that I have options for whatever the occasion calls for or how many people will be eating them.

The new recipe is absolutely disgusting.  I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. I used to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch and was known for them.  When I discovered the Pillsbury ones tasted exactly like my home made ones, I started substituting them and have done so for years.  People are always shocked that they were not from scratch.  I am so glad that I noticed the package stated "new recipe" and gave them a test try before Thanksgiving, because it would have been a disaster had I attempted to serve these. They don't bake well, the texture is off, they don't taste very good and they have an absolutely nasty aftertaste.  I don't think I have ever had a cookie with an aftertaste-- and it doesn't leave your mouth easily. I have no clue how these could have gotten past taste testers.  They are virtually inedible. They certainly don't taste "natural".  I think this is the first time in my house that a batch of cookies has been thrown away.  I guess I will be spending more time in the kitchen before Thanksgiving, because I will have to go back to scratch.  Please bring the original back.  If there are actually people that buy these more than once, then you can have two versions if need be.
