The Scotch Packaging Tape did unwind quieter than other tapes but it was definitely not silent. Finding the beginning of this tape was a breeze. My favorite part was that it was easy to start and didn't get all tangled with itself. This was a first. This is how a packaging tape should be. I'll definitely buy this in the future.

It was easy to find the end of the roll of tape and it unwound smoothly using one hand. 3M provided a free sample of this product for me to evaluate.

With other brands that I've used in the past, the package has arrived in fairly good condition but the tape I had used to hold the label on had come off or bled in the rainy weather, and on some occasions the package had been returned to me because it had come open during shipping. I didn't have any of those issues this time when I used Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape! The label stayed attached and withstood rain water, the contents were intact and the box did not come untapped! Also starting this roll of tape was easier than other kinds. This one didn't rip and come off in small pieces or strips, which can be incredibly annoying. Definitely going to be stepping my packaging tape game up with more Scotch Sure Start Shipping Packaging Tape!

Tears off quietly without tearing or splitting to the required size. Easily repairs paperback books (pages and binders), newspaper articles, recipes, and old pictures (if used on back of picture). Adheres to box and label for shipping, for weather protection (if needed) or storing; no need to reposition. As always, a quality product from the manufacturer.

Bought a three pack after my heavy duty ran out. Getting ready to move some thing to my business. I can't get the stuff to stick to cardboard moving boxes. It peels right off like there isn't any glue on the tape. It's terrible. It also falls off as you're moving packed boxes. I don't know if I received a lemon batch, but it's bad. Going back to heavy duty or possibly another brand. I have no confidence this will secure a small box of books. Save it for your doll collections

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is great to use on mailing packages and sealing a box up before storing it. The tape is easy to get off the reel and apply to a package. The sticky side has enough adhesive to keep large services closed and for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It says easy start. Well I had a hard time at first getting the tape to lift off the first little part to start the roll. It took me 10 minutes to take my nail around it to catch to lift do that I could put it over the red part to start. Once I did that, it was better. It was easy to hold it and use one hand to seal the box.

I was able to apply it to my package easily and it held up great. I also used it to close boxes to store in the attic and it sealed the box perfectly.

I am very impressed with the ease of pulling the tape through the dispenser. Our daughter is packing to move and I took this to her house to help her with boxing stuff up. Having small hands, the size of this dispenser is very easy for me to handle The tape pulls through very easily and cuts on the first try. I love the fact that it is made in the USA.
