[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product free from 3M. This tape works just as they said it would :) It has a tab on it so you know exactly where it starts. It's also quiet when you're pulling long strips from it and you can tell that its strong.

I’ve been using Scotch tapes most of my life. This “sure start” tape is the first line I could never recommend! It sticks to paper just fine and is very easy to pull off the roll- BUT it does NOT stick to itself! Any slight bump or roll over will pull off all tape that has been taped to another piece of tape. I purchase approximately ten 6 packs per year. This “sure start” is cheaper but is also CHEAP- JUNK. Buy only the red or blue rolls. Heavy Duty is the best!!!

This tape is easy to use as far as getting it off the spool but it DOESN'T stick to the box. I used this product and by the time I got to Fedex for shipping they made me re wrap and repackage because the tape would not stay attached to the package. I took the brand new roll and threw it away. Duct products work much better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far, this was the easiest and quietest packing tape I've ever used. Didn't have to search for the beginning of the tape to get the roll started. No annoying schreaching noises either. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical when I started using this tape. Yes, you are able to find the tape end easier, as advertised. But when you start the tape, it FLIES off of the roll (see photo). It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it feels odd when you are handling the tape. I taped up a few boxes, and the tape stays stuck. However, you can peel up any tape that’s taped over another piece of tape, thought it takes some effort to do so. The boxes stays sealed despite this concern.

I know I have, and worse, I've even scared nearby family/friends because of the unexpected, loud, & obtrusive noise those packing tape dispensers make! Thanks to 3M's new Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape, I no longer have to be concerned about that issue. In fact, I can do my packaging late at night and not have to worry about waking anyone up now! In addition to that, this tape starts and stops seamlessly without fraying or splitting! Not having to spend ten minutes trying to get the roll of tape back to an even rolling pattern when it splits/tears is wonderful! As busy as my schedule is a lot of days, it's so nice to have another tool/product that makes your life easier and more productive and the Scotch Sure Start Packaging Tape does just that and without compromising the excellent quality we already love with 3M Scotch Packaging Products! Needless to say, I'll definitely be stocking up on this new packing tape!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is great to use on mailing packages and sealing a box up before storing it. The tape is easy to get off the reel and apply to a package. The sticky side has enough adhesive to keep large services closed and for a long time.

I always have problems with it sticking to where I don't need it though (mainly itself) so this packing tape is what I needed. Even if I move it weird and make it fall off the cutting part I could get it restarted without pulling tiny strands of it like other times. Glad I got this to review - I always need tape and it has helped.

Rolls smoothly and easily onto your packages without any effort. Though the tape is thinner (I usually use heavy duty), it secures boxes and envelopes thoroughly for shipping. I feel confident using it for all my needs.
