IMPORTANT - READ THE INCLUDED ENCLOSURE ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT STORE AND HOW TO STORE CERTAIN ITEMS. Also, anyone considering it should read the reviews on the company's website. Some people have reported serious problems, including loss of all contents in a fire. The walls, including the lid, are thick and sturdy. The price is reasonable. Overall it fits my needs. It is very heavy yet has no hand holds. The key is "sticky" which seems to be because the lid actually moves a bit on its hinge so that I sometimes have to press down, right or left on it to get the key to turn to the lock position.

We are very happy with this product. It is well made and we gave two as Christmas gifts this year. Both recipients were very happy with the quality of the product. It will serve it's purpose nicely. Being heavy, it will not be easily moved around, which is what we wanted!

Not really sure yet. I called to register the product. I do not know if there will be mildew or dampness build up yet as with the lock safes. I wrapped all photos and papers in wax paper hoping to avoid damage from moisture. Trying to preserve the photos and lifetime documents. I am not the one to ask. I believe it weighs around 32 lbs.

I am very happy with this safe. It holds more than I thought it would. It feels substancial and gave me a lot of peace of mind. The fireproof factor is great! I also love that I can keep my most sensitive documents private when I have house or pet sitters. It keeps them organized too! Regular hanging files (not included) fit in comfortably. I used the ones I already had. I like the black color. It doesn't stand out. As the old saying goes "You can't put a price on peace of mind". The price of this safe is a bargain.

Bought two. Both were covered inside and out in white dust and chunks. Had to wash them off, though both are supposedly “new.” The outer shells on both appear to be inconsistent in texture, as if made by an amature. There seem to be bulges in the plastic shells, though I can see no breaks. These safes look awful in any light. The keys have trouble going into the locks, and of course trouble turning. When a product has only a few functions, but does none of them well, I wonder why it’s even on the market? Why is this brand successful? Maybe it shouldn’t be.

Heavy, sturdy, etc. I'm going to keep it even though right out of the box, the key does not cooperate. When I lock it, I can't remove the key. Oh brother; but since I'm only keeping important papers in it and not jewels, it'll be fine. I'll put a heavy vase on it so it stays pressed shut tight.

I didn't expect a class A vault for the price, but I did expect the keys to at least fit in the lock! It took a lot of work to finally get the key in, then a more ridiculous amount of time to get the key out of the lock. The outer back side of the safe has a very noticeable bulge in it that keeps the safe from sitting flush against my wall. I will be returning the safe to Sam's.

Got this fire safe so to save the $180 per year charge for the safety deposit box at bank. It is big enough to take in all my stuff, yet still able to move it. Easy to use key (I have arthritis). Had read many "waterproof" smaller safes were very hard to open, so just went with a fire safe. Black color looks rich. Price was fantastic with 97cents shipping. Very happy with purchase.

We received this safe locked shut, tried to unlock with keys (loose in box) and the key is now stuck between locked and unlock. Haven't even seen the inside and it's no use to me. I ordered this safe to hold medical supplies & medications away from children.

Awsome for storing files, as for being secure not so much. The handle on the top of the box that has the pin for the lock just fell off in my hand. Now instead of a lock box I have just a box. Bonus the lid didn't fall off like I have read in other reviews. I just glad that I didn't store stuff really valuable in it.
