This Sentry Safe was perfect for what we needed it for - filing away and keeping safe our documents. I really liked being able to use hanging files, and having access to my documents in my home instead of a safe deposit box. It is small enough that if need be, we can carry it with us. It is not theft-proof since it can be carried and it only has a key lock, but for us, we weren't concerned. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to keep their documents safe and organized.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Open it and it was filthy inside. Neither of the keys fit into the lock and it couldn’t close all the way. It was WAY smaller then what the picture describes. It’s going back to the store. I have never opened such a piece of junk. Really frustrating.

I appreciated the free shipping and it arrived within a few days. However, it was not in a Sentry box (just the plain shipping box with styrofoam). Although the keys and lock had the same code the key would not work. I called Sentry and they said I should return it to Walmart. Sentry also said their products should never arrive in a plain box. They suspect this product was a return.

My husband and I recently purchased this in which to store our archives of tax returns. As we have not suffered from any floods or fires, we haven't been able to put this to the true test, but it's certainly roomy enough to store the last few years of returns, so it's pretty much serving its purpose.

It is very heavy and solid, good construction. One problem however - the keys come attached by a plastic string on the outside through part of the latch - unfortunately for the one I received, the string had broken at some point, and the keys were nowhere to be found. They were not in the box. The safe box is locked, and I will have to return and exchange it for one that has keys.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and son in law, however, I have the exact same one. Perfect for keeping all your important papers safe and in one place. I use hanging files to keep everything organized, and you can easily place other items in as well.

I looked like someone returned the safe and Walmart just repackaged the safe and sent it out again without repair. Returned the safe to Wal-Mart and awaiting refund.

Heavy, sturdy, etc. I'm going to keep it even though right out of the box, the key does not cooperate. When I lock it, I can't remove the key. Oh brother; but since I'm only keeping important papers in it and not jewels, it'll be fine. I'll put a heavy vase on it so it stays pressed shut tight.

Got this fire safe so to save the $180 per year charge for the safety deposit box at bank. It is big enough to take in all my stuff, yet still able to move it. Easy to use key (I have arthritis). Had read many "waterproof" smaller safes were very hard to open, so just went with a fire safe. Black color looks rich. Price was fantastic with 97cents shipping. Very happy with purchase.

The size is just that half inch too small as though it was constructed to specification without the constructor doing a mock-up and actually trying to put files in. Either that or the finance people wanted to save 50 cents. It is a good safe though and the price is right
