I have an older version of this model that works great. It just arrived via Fed Ex. When my son opened the box, he asked if I ordered a used one. There seems to be white powder all over the inside and outside of the safe. The key is very difficult to turn. There is a scuff on the front left corner. There appears to be a "crack" in the bottom, yet it doesn't flex (not the molded standard piece). Curious if anyone else had theirs come is this shape. I hate the trouble to returning it, but wondering if it is really used or maybe just abused by either Sam's when packaging or Fed Ex in transit.

I didn't expect a class A vault for the price, but I did expect the keys to at least fit in the lock! It took a lot of work to finally get the key in, then a more ridiculous amount of time to get the key out of the lock. The outer back side of the safe has a very noticeable bulge in it that keeps the safe from sitting flush against my wall. I will be returning the safe to Sam's.

We received this safe locked shut, tried to unlock with keys (loose in box) and the key is now stuck between locked and unlock. Haven't even seen the inside and it's no use to me. I ordered this safe to hold medical supplies & medications away from children.

Love the firesafe. Had read positive reviews and am very happy with it. It is large enough for lots of papers or electronic media. You can hang files on it too. My only complaint is that the original box came shipped to my home from Walmart and it was badly damaged. The firesafe was broken as well as all of the packing materials around it. Not sure if it was the shipping company (Fed Ex) or the packing at Walmart. I took it to my local store and they gladly exchanged it since they had it in stock.

I love the structure and the space in the inside of safe. This is my second purchase of the Sentry safe from your company. It's good for storing life insurance and other important documents . I would highly recommend to other customers who are interested in buying the product.

Just what I needed for storing valuable papers such as insurance documents, birth/marriage certificates, passports, wills, etc. Nice to be able to put documents in hanging folders and label them to find them more easily than just piling them up in a flat, more square, safe. I also prefer a key lock over digital which is what this model offered.

It has no handles, but slides easily. After filling papers it, I could not lift it so it will have to find "its home" and stay there. It does not come with hanging file folders but the ones I put in fit perfectly. Simple box that I hope I will never have to test its fireproof capability!

This arrived in a plain brown box. When I opened the safe there was a white ash all in and around the lock mechanism both top and bottom and more in the bottom of the case. The keys worked when I opened it originally but then would not work to lock it again. I returned this the next day. Wondered if it was a used model that someone had tried to test the fireproof level on.

Wanted larger size like I already have, i.e. their model 1175, but this one will do. Latch was slightly bent when received and would not close easily. I believe it was damaged in packing, i.e. the latch was in locked position before the lid was closed. I straightened the latch with pliers, and everything now works as it should.

Awsome for storing files, as for being secure not so much. The handle on the top of the box that has the pin for the lock just fell off in my hand. Now instead of a lock box I have just a box. Bonus the lid didn't fall off like I have read in other reviews. I just glad that I didn't store stuff really valuable in it.
