Just what I needed for storing valuable papers such as insurance documents, birth/marriage certificates, passports, wills, etc. Nice to be able to put documents in hanging folders and label them to find them more easily than just piling them up in a flat, more square, safe. I also prefer a key lock over digital which is what this model offered.

This safe would not be a major challenge for anyone seriously wanting to crack the safe but it is a nice size and provides the security level I was seeking. I keep things that are important to me and not necessairly to anyone else in this safe (birth certificate, passport, life insurance policies, etc.) and at least I know where I can find them a major consideraton at my age. I would recommend this safe but not for the "crown jewels".

I bought this safe today for important documents. The safe itself is perfect but the handle/lock was loose and made of plastic. Also, when testing the lock, I had trouble getting the key to go in the hole. Once I got it in, I had to jiggle the key to get it to unlock. I am going to return this safe.

Realy works yall, dont pass this one up! So you never know if it works until it's put to the test right? Well our house caught on fire May 16, 2019 and this sucker got the worst of it. We had it in our master bedroom closet on the floor and that room had the most damage. I had all our important paperwork in it: kids birth certificates, shot records, car titles, estate planning docs, you name it, it was prob in this box even our handgun. Well everything came out uncharred and best of all odorless! 500 FREAKIN STARS FOR SURE!!!!

My former fire-proof box was too small to hold all my important documents without folding, and left them unorganized. This size box allows you to put in standard hanging file holders, with labels, to get everything in neatly. True, it's not waterproof, but the lip on the lid would keep most water out unless the box was totally submerged. It makes sense, but it's a little annoying that you cannot remove the key unless the box is locked. My only real gripe is that it has no handles of any sort. Once it is filled and the lid is shut, it has a smooth surface on all sides that make it difficult to move around. I guess this is a mild theft-deterrent, but not much of one.

Bought one for each of my four children - two of them were damaged to the point they coudn't be used. It is a hassle to return, reorder, and make another trip to the store to pickup. I will open and check them at the store before taking delivery this time.

I bought 3 of these fire safes, one to keep sentimental personal belongings in such as autographed items, pictures, jewelry, and a few items from loved ones who have passed. I think maybe one was just a defective unit because when this arrived, it looks to have cracks in the bottom inside. None of my other safes are like this. I have purchased a total of 3 of these for my daughters and myself so overall I would recommend this safe. It's just this one I have a problem with. I will return it and get a replacement. For the most part, the other safes like this one that I purchased are made well and seal well and are very secure. You cannot pull the key out until it is locked. It is big enough to hold the hanging folders neatly and is deep enough to hold several items. I do recommend this safe but just make sure you check it over for any defects. No company is perfect and there is bound to be a few defective units to slip through quality control.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and son in law, however, I have the exact same one. Perfect for keeping all your important papers safe and in one place. I use hanging files to keep everything organized, and you can easily place other items in as well.

Love the firesafe. Had read positive reviews and am very happy with it. It is large enough for lots of papers or electronic media. You can hang files on it too. My only complaint is that the original box came shipped to my home from Walmart and it was badly damaged. The firesafe was broken as well as all of the packing materials around it. Not sure if it was the shipping company (Fed Ex) or the packing at Walmart. I took it to my local store and they gladly exchanged it since they had it in stock.

Sentrysafe Purchased this to keep important documents like passports, certificates etc. safe in case of fire. It feels very heavy duty, and has a lock and key to keep things safe. Has lots of room inside for more documents, and valuables. I highly reccommend it. Two thumbs up.
