I purchased this product a few months ago. I had an electrician install an inconspicuous outlet though I could have done that myself if I wanted to spend the time (I am rather familiar with electric code and installation). I installed the plumbing and physical aspect of the seat fairly quickly (familiar with that too), though I had purchased a few different supply lines in advance to make sure I had one to use that fit my installation. It took me all of maybe 20-30 minutes, start to finish. I've been using and loving the seat since, and only wish that I had purchased it sooner-- years ago, in fact! It does what they say it will do, and the warranty is well beyond the competitors! Definitely worth the price. I do also have a colitis condition that can sometimes makes a bowel movement messy. This is the remedy for such things and more! Buy it; you'll love it, and what it does! (BTW, I have no affiliation with the manufacturer or anyone associated with them. I just bought the product and love it and took the time to review it.)

Having had rectal cancer surgery some time back, I was looking for a solution to help reduce/eliminate the need for wet wiping and stop abrasions. I wish I had discovered this years ago. Having non-stop warm water wash over you without limit was a must but the warming seat takes the cake. It's hard to imagine all this tech under the seat hinge so elegantly hidden away. Once we move into a new home, each toilet is getting one!

I just bought my second swash 1000 the first one only lasted five years, which is normal. It's not like a washing machine it has complicated electronic parts inside The newest version of the 1000 doesn't have automatic deodorizer and the heat is a bit uneven, but otherwise I love it

I wish I would have purchased this years ago. It's a must for those of us who think showering every day is overrated. I'll consider a second one for the basement toilet. All the different options on the remote are great, I feel clean, all the time!

I was like you... reading all the great reviews, wondering if this product was really as good as everyone said it was...I was also suffering from a painful rectal fissure for over 2 years. Needless to say, solving rectal pain and finding a personal hygiene product were at the top of my list.. I was also ready to invest in myself, in my health, as best I could.. In a nutshell - WOW - what a total game changer... awesome product..no question.. I normally don't write reviews, but if my comments might help someone else, then it's worth it to me. Pain control - I bought my Brondell just after recovering from rectal surgery. Being told to sit in a warm sitz bath was demoralizing, impractical and of limited value. Yes, I was desperate when I made my purchase, but once installed, I cannot describe my appreciation for this product. The warmth of the water provided pain relief I had not experienced in years. In addition, and just as important, personal hygiene has now gone from being a total hassle to now being a total breeze. I have never been so satisfied and thankful with an online purchase. Because I was in pain, looking for a product to help me - I didn't care about the lack of an electrical outlet. I just simply ran an extension cord in through the bathroom, till an electrician can install a proper outlet. So, if there is no outlet in your bathroom - don't let that stop you. It didn't stop me. My thought was to install the Brondell ASAP, and get the electrician in due time! This was a totally the wise move for me.. Product quality & instillation - After my purchase, I can agree with an earlier post, that the Swash 1000 was a "godsend" for me. It is obviously well made, easy to install, and easy to use every day. No plumber was necessary, and I am all thumbs for sure! I also agree with those who recommend to use the installation video rather that the instruction manual - the video is much easier to follow. I also agree on getting all the extras, as it makes no sense to wish for them in hindsight.. The remote control is a bit intimidating at first, with all the various buttons, but after a few "Swashes" you get the hang of the settings.. For those who hate remote controls, a separate instructional video might be a good idea some day illustrating the various settings.. Quality of life - I know it may sound corny, and repetitive, but this thing will totally change life for the better, I am telling you.. Having used my Brondell for the past month, I will never, never, never go back!!! This is an investment for life.. Water cleans so much better. It's so much more convenient, and there is nothing quite like a warm seat to greet you! It's like a personal spa treatment, for an "under" appreciated area.. ;) Thanks again for a great product, attention to quality, and making life better!

This is one of the easiest installs you will do (10 minutes max)... if you watch the youtube install video you don't have to read the instructions. This seat has a water heater built in so you do not need to add a hot line. I do recommend you take the old supply tube completely off and reinstall a shorter one if it is not a cable type.

I'm doing radiation treatment for cancer I have a elongated swash 1000 that I inherited from a friend who passed. My treatment became complicated with lots of pain and blood. I used the older swash 1000 on a round toilet. It worked well and helped a lot during the treatment. I'm at the end of my treatment, but the pain and blood is still with me. At about 3/4 intensity now. I just recently purchased the round toilet swash 1000 and have switched them out. The proper match makes the functioning even better. The swash 1000 has helped me keep clean and begin the healing process in sensitive areas.

Swash1000 is definitely a great product if it is working. My Swash1000 was working great and no complain for 2 weeks. Then suddenly, the rear cleansing somehow stopped working! you press and no response. Then the next day the font cleansing stopped! What's left? the dry air. I restarted the machine many times and followed the troubleshoot in the user manual. Finally, I was grateful that the store took it back and returned my money. I am very hesitant now to buy Brondell! However, I am not able to find other brands in local stores here in Montreal. For this reason I am considering to give Brondell Swash1000 another chance in case the company stands strong behind their 3 years guaranty. If Brondell is will to return or exchange their defective product within their 3 years waranty, then I might try to buy it again.

With the heated water and air dry, it has what I was looking for. The water pressure is great. I highly recommend it.
