Beware of the 90 warranty

So we got this go kart during the holidays last year because of a deal at Sam's; we got it for one of our kids birthday's. We paid $400 plus tax for the go kart but I don't feel like the quality matches the cost. There are a lot of plastic parts on the go kart and one of the tabs for the back lid on ours was bent so it didn't fully secure all the way down. It does require some assembly. I will say that once we got it assembled and the kids rode it, it is pretty fast and my kids love the drift feature. I will also say the lights in the front do look nice. We have a large open basement so my kids have been riding it on the laminate floors since we've had it. Now comes the issue. So after a about 7-8 months of riding it, I noticed one of wheels stopped moving and wouldn't power when pushing the accelerator - no matter what mode we put it in. I contacted customer support and after going over the trouble shooting items they pretty much said I was out of luck because it only had a 90 day warranty. I feel that a 90 day warranty on a $400 product is unacceptable. They simply offered 10% off any of their other products as a 'courtesy'...which I felt was insulting considering how much their products cost. In addition why would I buy another one of their products given the poor customer service and accomodation. I was more disappointed and irritated by the 10% discount, given it was a potential defect with one of the motors - what customer support said not me - they should at least offer 30-50% off another product. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because one of the wheels still works pretty good and my kids do enjoy riding it but I am highly disappointed with the customer service and quality of the product given the cost and even more so I am disappointed by the very short 90 warranty window. I will not be purchasing anymore Jetson products and will also advise my friends and family to avoid them as well.

Don't waste your money

The go kart is a big crowd pleaser in my neighborhood. My son really enjoyed this vehicle while it worked. About 5 weeks after purchase the wheel came apart. To make matter worse this company lists a phone number that does not work. If you want one months of fun go ahead and buy. If you want something that lasts a year I would AVOID.

Still going strong almost 1 yr in

I'm not sure what these people are doing to their carts but ours has held up almost a year. My kids and the neighborhood kids have ridden this thing hard!! The drifting feature has been put to the max. Never dreamed this thing would last more than 2 months after watching them all drive it. The battery life is about 45min with full throttle, rough driving.

Out of the box the there are 3 white pins that connect the battery cover to the car, all 3 came bent. I tried to call customer service to order replacements and their solution was "return the whole thing to your retailer". I had already showed to my son and he was so excited so returning wasn't an option. also the idea to relack that huge thing wasn't inviting either. Then for weeks I tried to 3D print the 3 pins and after several tries I realized that the screws holding them are just too small for the job and they keep slipping from the treads. then I got tired of it and good several wood screws and just screwed top down fork outside and case closed. Then came the sad reality that the battery won't last even 20 mins of play, way different from the 1h advertised. Then 3 months after the purchase the gas pedal started getting faulty. You hit it, the car does a small shaky reaction but doesn't move, like if the battery was depleted, then after a full charge it was back working again, but weeks later same problem happened right after a full charge, and then happened again and again, until a point that it doesn't move anymore. it permanently died with about 8 months. I have the dirt bike from them and that project is AMAZING, the battery lasts way longer than advertised and 2 years after it still works flawlessly. I thought this GoKart from the same brand but its far not the same. the customer support is nearly non-existent, they are zero help, they offer you no solution except "return to your retailer", but Sam's won't accept after few months. They then asked photos, and made several questions, to then stop answering. My relief thought is that I got AllState insurance for it because I knew better, but AllState won't start working on it until past 2 year from the purchase date, which is when the useless manufacturer warranty expires.

My kids really loves this drift cart for the two weeks is lasted. The rear tires came apart after 2 weeks of use and the warranty was useless as Jetson does not give spart parts and they just give you a gift card to buy another from their website only which is a waste as they have nothing in stock.

Easy setup

Bought for my daughter for Christmas, she loves it! Shes a bit tall for an 8yr old so even fully adjusted, I think, it's a bit small but it's a fun ride for her. Also, are there rubber tires for this kart? Plastic ones are doing to well on the concrete.

I don't recommend it.

Buy one for my son this Christmas, it was only used for one week today, January 1st, just one week after taking it out of its box, we realize that it does not work! So much money thrown away in just one week!

Was great until it stopped woking

We bought this for our son last Christmas. Worked great until it stopped going in toward. The switch stopped working, and now it will only go in reverse. Would love to get it fixed, but cannot find how.

Great for a gift. The ateering wheel was not the same. it did not come with the steering wheel that is ln the box with the buttons. It just had the battery level which is ok.
