took long to switch between streaming apps or free built in channels %26once it finally does load it ends freezing, lagging or speeding up the video as if trying to get it properly synced with picture %26 audio %26 the show or movie its trying to play... the only app it did allow me to watch anything in was netflix which played smoothly! internet connection was excellent so not internet issue! hulu, paramount the free tv nothing else would work properly

I've always had good luck with Vizio TV's. Only got this a week ago but so far it seems to be a good one. Reasonable price at Walmart. As usual the sound isn't great with just factory speakers but most TV speakers aren't great. Picture quality is good. The dual WiFi works really well and picks up my home network signal way better than my older TV. It was very easy setting up the TV and using the Vizio app. Pretty straightforward.

I love the picture but there's no built in rca type av outputs to connect my stereo i had to order aftermarket ones at least none i can find anyway just a space where there should be very disappointed that I had to buy extra parts my older Vizio came with built in Len

This TV is a total failure. It constantly locks in factory mode and displays an "F" in a white box on the screen. This mode also maxes out the volume when you turn on the TV, so when it begins playing previews from the home screen the volume is blaring. Even after factory resetting this TV it still defaults to factory mode within a few power cycles. Total waste of money on this TV that is less than 9 months old. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TV.

This Smart TV had to take the short bus to school. Just to change the channel is a thing. Its not like you pick up remote hit the digits and press enter. With this remote a 10 key is on the screen. You hit 15 then you have to hit the down arrow until you hit enter. pain in the butt

Just bought this tv today Nov 20, 2024 and connected it with ease. DIRECTLY OUT OF THE BOX IT FREEZES AND MOVES EXTREMELY SLOW TO THE POINT WHERE ITS UNUSABLE!! I will be returning tomorrow for another set to see if I have the same issue and if I do I won’t “settle” for an affordable tv with Vizio again.

New Vizio vfd40m tv would not load paid Sling app. on the phone with Vizio tech over an hour. The told me they could not fix it to call Sling. Called Sling and they could not fix it. It a a preloaded app on a Vizio tv they should be able to fix their own products. Still not fixed. I get code 8-702 when i try to load app.

I am having to return it to get a new one because the mounts would not screw into the bottom securely and was having trouble setting up settings and remote working correctly within my system. Picture is GREAT! Just think I got the one nad apple and going to try again.

Taking off a star because you cannot use any parental controls with it. I bought it to replace an Insignia Fire TV that I accidentally tripped and fell on while moving it! The Insignia is comparably priced, can have a parental controls code set, and is generally easier to navigate. Also, this TV has been a little glitchy, and my son has complained that the screen has just gone black several times.

Needed a third TV for the sunroom during an inauguration party for Donald Trump. Not only was this compatible with the other TVs, the price was a small fraction of what was spent previously, And, the display automatically adjusts to accommodate a brightly-lit daylight room perfectly.
