Pretty good TV. My last 3 TVs were Vizio and my soundbars are all Vizio, so I stay with that brand. This model isn't fast, meaning there is a little lag from when you make a selection on the remote to then it comes up on the screen. Also, when using Bluetooth to connect audio, the volume level often fades up %26 down, which is annoying. With the soundbar, I resolved this by connecting directly using the optical cable.

My husband and I purchased this tv as a Christmas gift for our son. We connected it, and about an hour later, it starts making unusual noises then the screen goes red then fuzzy. It is horrible. It is a lemon!!!! It does not work. Now I have to take it down, pack it and take it back. This does not meet my expectations!!!!!

Just bought this tv today Nov 20, 2024 and connected it with ease. DIRECTLY OUT OF THE BOX IT FREEZES AND MOVES EXTREMELY SLOW TO THE POINT WHERE ITS UNUSABLE!! I will be returning tomorrow for another set to see if I have the same issue and if I do I won’t “settle” for an affordable tv with Vizio again.

Excellent and the size is great. I'm using mine outside to be able to watch regular television when I'm in the hot tub . I have the volume on 75 and it is nice and clear and sharp, but I did purchase a pair of Bluetooth headphones just in case, I'll try those out later on today but overall nice.

This Smart TV had to take the short bus to school. Just to change the channel is a thing. Its not like you pick up remote hit the digits and press enter. With this remote a 10 key is on the screen. You hit 15 then you have to hit the down arrow until you hit enter. pain in the butt

Ordered the VIZIO 40" Class Full HD 1080p LED Smart TV (New) VFD40M-08 on Fri, 10/11/24 and received asap on Sat 10/12. Boxed well; new; no damage. Only had one snag attaching one of the feet. Was frustrating, time-wise, to get it as secure as the other. Eventually satisfied with moderate fit; posed no problem with the TV standing evenly in-place. Setup was straight-forward and easy. Attached my Roku with no problem. However, the TV is LOADED with Apps that the Roku isn't necessary; am just accustomed to it. Color, sound is good. Overall, needed a new BR TV and the price was very affordable. Satisfied. The pics aren't that good; TV looks fine.

New Vizio vfd40m tv would not load paid Sling app. on the phone with Vizio tech over an hour. The told me they could not fix it to call Sling. Called Sling and they could not fix it. It a a preloaded app on a Vizio tv they should be able to fix their own products. Still not fixed. I get code 8-702 when i try to load app.

I am having to return it to get a new one because the mounts would not screw into the bottom securely and was having trouble setting up settings and remote working correctly within my system. Picture is GREAT! Just think I got the one nad apple and going to try again.

Starts up a bit slow when powered on. The speakers sound like they’re going to go out if the volume is over 18 🤷🏽‍♀️. But we only use for back found noise and it has clear picture, so it’s hod enough. I might get a sound bar if it gets too staticky when preferring a higher volume.

it is super lightweight, which worked out well mounting it to the wall.l, and the picture is great. Thats all Ive got nice to say about this Tv. It buffers more yhan a mai. street car wash. They give you a multitude of apps, but the remote switches from ultra touchy to down right defiant when youre trying to switch or change channels. I will rake my heavy big screen with my roku adapter, anytime. I'm glad this yjing was inexpensive.
