Very disappointed that the only way for this safe to meet its “waterproof” claim is to bolt it to the floor using the washers provided to cover the holes in the bottom. Even then, there are holes in the rear that are not covered, so water will still enter. The manual claims that the safe is sealed so well that it traps moisture inside, so you should never remove the desiccant pack and things that should not get wet from retained moisture should be sealed in ANOTHER container before being put in the safe. How is it that this thing can retain moisture when it has four open holes in the casing?

Burglary was not my prime concern for buying this safe. We live in a secure building and theft would be very hard. However, 2 months ago someone left a candle burning in their apartment and it started a fire. There isn't a lot to burn. Can you say concrete, steel and firewalls. So the fire was a nonissue. However, the sprinkler system soaked 6 units on each floor from #23 to #18. Everything ruined. I was alarmed. I am the keeper of our family history. Most of which I have converted to DVD and CD formats. Furniture, electronics, etc. can be replaced; the family history can't. So I wanted a safe that would protect from fire long enough for the sprinklers to do their job, and keep it all dry. NOW THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS..... WHEN READING THE DIRECTIONS I FOUND OUT THE SAFE WOULD NOT BE WATERPROOF UNLESS IT WAS BOLTED TO THE FLOOR. THIS WAS NOT IN THE LITERATURE, BUT I DID FIND A WORKAROUND. SO I AM HAPPY, BUT I WISH I HAD KNOWN SOONER. MIGHT HAVE MADE ANOTHER CHOICE. By the way, quick delivery, easy to put into place, good size for our stuff, good build quality, and the price was right.

Had an issue with the top bolt. Was told it is a common issue. Sent instruction on how to fix but I had to pay someone to do it because I couldn't get the screws on the door cover off without fear of stripping them. But it's all back together and the door closes and I'm happy with the safe.

Nice size not to large but large enough to store a lot of documents, coins, etc. Only thing I wish there was a light inside that would really help. I found a magnetic light and attached to one of the shelves, and will get 2 more for the other shelves. Lights really make a difference.

Good sized safe for a decent prize. Quality of internal vertical shelve bracket placement is poor and cheap feel quality shelves. Other than that over all good safe, you do need to account for the door swing thickness (door thickness and handle) when thinking about placement.

The safe arrived smelling like mildew inside and I’m not sure what to do about it. I didn’t realize it until I had gone through the laborious task of getting it up two flights of stairs and into the chosen spot. It’s too much work to remove it and attempt to exchange it. Very disappointed…

Overall after a few days of ownership, a solid safe made in China. Be aware that the safe is not considered "water resistant" without bolting it to a floor using their supplied hardware and rubber lined washers. The lag bolts supplied were too small for their specified bit for concrete so double check everything is good from the factory before you drill into the floor.

Digital lock is not capable of handling more than one user code. WHY?! The all-around gasket is not all that around. Instead, it's like covering 30% less than anyone would imagine that the seal type of gasket would cover. I was told that it's by design. What design?! Isn't this safe supposed to protect docs/goods/etc. on the inside from water/liquid damage?!

The safe seems larger than the dimensions provided even though it is not. Everything that we needed to put in it for safekeeping fits perfectly with room to spare. It will definitely suite our purpose. The delivery came a little early and the team delivering were very friendly and accommodating. Thanks

Needed to upgrade to a larger water/fire proof safe. Fits nicely into the corner of my closet. The electronic keypad is very convenient and key overridable in case of battery or my memory failure! Solidly built. Definitely requires two people to move it upstairs!
