Poor quality

Not very much flavor, actual heart good but the remaining small leaves on each one varies in quality. About half of them are like trying to chew straw and top half of leaves need to be cut off and trashed.

Excellent product - Impossible to open jar!

We love this product and it is very good value, but we cannot continue to purchase it because it is nearly impossible to get the jars open. Even using heat and a "gilhoolie" jar opener we are exasperated with the difficulty in opening the jars.

Moldy

My artichokes started getting moldy a month after opening. I kept refrigerated and it was well before the expiration date. I would only recommend if you plan to eat them all right away after opening.

Wow!

These are just excellent. So much easier than making my own, and they are delicious. The price is phenomenal, and there are a lot of them in that jar, which is huge. I like with salads, as a side, or straight from the jar.

Excellent item!!!

I love these artichokes! Tender and delicious..no tough leaves or prickly thorns on them! They are perfect for dip or for making my grandmother's roasted artichoke casserole! Delish! I can't imagine anyone not liking these!!!

Very Good

These are perfect for salads. Very slightly flavored brine is tasty. Been using for years. Perfect if you are trying to avoid fats since they are not marinated & no oil.

Cannot open

I'm a former rock climber and have a pretty good grip. I can lift 50 pounds with my pinky and could not open the jar. The label was being shredded as it slid through the grippy gloves i was wearing. I won't buy this again. Less than zero stars.

Delicious!

I had no trouble opening this jar. Maybe I'm stronger than I think. I do workout regularly. I found the artichokes to be delicious. I am so happy happy that they are not soaked in oil. Makes a great addition to my pasta

MUSHY!!! Awful product!

These are poor quality and MUSHY. Really terrible! The store brand canned ones at my local grocer are WAY better, even if I store the unused ones in the fridge for a week. Will never buy these again.

Disappointing

I have bought these artichoke hearts for many years, and have liked them, giving them a 4 out of 5. This last jar, with an Oct 2023 Use By Date, I opened about 10 days ago and the hearts were fine. Left them in the fridge until today, and they had a sour smell to them and were very mushy and broke apart getting them out of the jar. Took a small taste -- yuk! So down the drain. In the past, I had kept the open jar in the fridge for several weeks with no issues. Today I read on the label that once opened, to consume the whole jar within a week. Well if that's the case, I won't buy these at Sams any longer as I would probably gag trying to eat over 2 pounds of artichokes in a week or less!
