Yummy

Packed in water so perfect for use in anything you desire. No saltiness, and no oil, and no unwanted spices. If you wish them to last longer then one week, I recommend freezing them.

Perfection

Love these! Very tender, unlike canned - no bother with removing tough outer leaves. Each heart was perfect. Ideal in my crawfish artichoke bisque. I'll never buy artichoke hearts anywhere else.

NICE SIZE

They are sealed well. These are perfect for salads or to just throw into a dish. Remember, you will have to drain them before you put them into a salad. That should be a gimmie. If you open them you should use them within a couple of weeks. I put them in my pasta salad. They are very good.

Great...tightly packed exl quality.

You won't find these anywhere else as nice as this. And for the price...wow! Small, tightly packed artichoke hearts, perfect for salad or right from the jar. They are NOT floating in ridiculous extra juice (thanks Member's Mark!). The jar itself is great for storage afterward. Have been buying these for years...never disappointed.

Don't Hate on the Artichokes :)

These artichoke hearts are really good in recipes (dip, pizza, etc.) and our kids love them right out of the jar (for them softer is better!). I read the other reviews and wanted to mention a couple of tips so hopefully the product wouldn't be so disappointing to buyers...once opened, artichoke hearts should be consumed in 3-4 days. For longer storage you can freeze them. After that, they're really only good used in recipes (though my oldest child will squeeze the liquid out of them and eat them thawed lol.) As far as the jar opening issue-we had that too! If you hold the jar sideways under very hot tap water for a minute or so (the stream of water should run over the seam of the lid), the lid will be able to be opened easily. I use a lid gripping thing that helps since I'm a small female, but I can now open the jars without my husband's help (which is a relief for him b/c he totally hated opening them before!) :) So we give the product 5 stars since it's healthy and they taste great in recipes AND the price is good on them too.

opener

For those finding it hard to open bottle there is an easy solution. Use a can opener ... Kind used for beverages, place point under top and slowly break the seal. You will hear a slight click. It is then easy to open. I do this for all bottles tat are tightly sealed.

The jar is impossible to open by mere humans

I love the hearts - they are always tender, and flavorful. However, it seems like every jar we buy is harder to open - I literally pull out my oil filter wrench to be able to open it. And since I haven't been able to find the wrench lately, the jar sits unopened. The mouth of the jar is too wide, even for an average sized man's hand. Please consider a different jar design, or I may have to stop buying these.

LOVE THESE!

Thank you JRRose for the jar opening tip. That was my only issue. THESE are yummy. I eat them out of the jar and they never last 2 days. Like many others I'm so glad they are in water, not oil. And better price than the cans from the grocery store. Thanks Sams!

Artichoke hearts

Horrible product. Bought twice, one had mold on top. Next jar was nothing but inedible mush. Please call FDA to investigate why u sell such a inferior product and make no changes to product or remove from shelf. I'm so disappointed in quality. Get rid of it

great artichokes for cooking and salads

Love these artichokes. It is a good replacement for frozen artichoke hearts which are hard to find. I much prefer the artichokes in plain water rather than in oil so you can add your own seasoning depending on what you are cooking and add your own high quality olive oil if using for cooking or salads. I even eat them directly out of the jar and have put the on pizza.. They have a good firm texture. I am excited they are on intant savings and planning on buying multiples.
