Pork ribs

You can't beat these pork ribs, they're pretty good and pretty cheap for any kind of meat these days. I usually cut them into 4 sections to freeze. To cook them I boil them for about an hour until they're tender, then sauce them up and put them in the oven on broil for 30 min and they're perfect every time. I recommend these ribs.

Wonderful Ribs

We've had these a couple of times now, and we think they are GREAT. We've bought ribs at a number of different stores, and these are the best we have found. They are VERY meaty and tender. They are a product of the USA, and unlike so many other stores, these are NOT injected with any saline solution. They're $2.98 a pound at this time, and I'm going to put some in the freezer. We are very pleased with these ribs.

best baby backs -

I have been purchasing these ribs for over 10 years and thy always are great. They are the neatest baby backs and are bargain at Sams price. Always cook slow and low with a custom rub. Secret I use is appply rub day before, then I wrap in foil with a few ice cubes, cook low n slow, re- arranging every hour or so - open and finish with a sauce made from the drippings and throw them on the grill to cook the sauce on - pure perfection ! Always a crowd pleaser!! I have cooked these for large groups and never had complaints....

Bad Pork - Do Not Purchase

If you care about your health and money, please do not purchase these Baby Back Ribs! I have purchased these over 10 times in the past 2 years, and of those 10 times, 5 packages contained bad pork . You will know it's bad once you open it, as the smell is extremely rancid, even though it's date is good. Took us hours to get the smell out of our house. I purchased them once again today, came home, opened the package, and found yet another bad package of meat. For Clarity, this is the Williamstown, NJ Sam's Club, and today is Saturday, 08/30/2025. I have returned ribs in the past and urged this store to look into their "safe handling of meat", but apparently that has fallen on deaf ears and nothing is happening to protect the consumer.

Amazing Ribs!

I bought two packs of two from the club last weekend to smoke. They were amazing and smoked beautifully. My only complaint is the club didn't have them priced correctly and I showed them the app that listed the lower price and they went and re-priced them in the back, but not sure they fixed the price on all the others that were out for sale. It was a $1/lb difference and saved me almost $20 on the two packs, so it was worth having it fixed.

Great Ribs

I have purchased 6 racks of these ribs from Sam's , Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day along with the twin pack pork shoulder for my charcoal / hickory smoker! I remove the membrane from the bone side soak in apple cider vinegar for 3-4 hours , season , garlic and other seasonings , brown sugar and molasses and wet smoke at 190-205 for 4-6 hours ! They are always a huge hit ! Not saying you can't get a less then great rack in a pack , but I am staying with them !

Mislabeled ribs

On July 22, I purchased what was labeled as "baby back " ribs from the Elmira store. It was the only package of its kind in a counter filled with "spareribs." After trying the spareribs previously I vowed never to buy them again. But when I opened this package to prepare for smoking, I found only spareribs. I live 30 miles from the store and had committed to cooking them for a special occasion. Almost a pound of pure fat, filled with inedible cartilage and unfit for any meal. Despite my best efforts to cook, they were an embarrassment. Moved to this area from Virginia where I never encountered this problem at the Sam's there. Very unhappy 13-year premium member.

Great Baby Backs

I always purchase these Baby Back Ribs from Sam’s. These fresh and never been frozen. I’ve never found any better ribs than these. I don’t slow grill them, but they are always tender and tasty. Very meaty, but pick out those with just the right amount of fat. Stay with them while grilling to avoid burning.

Change in ribs, now their awful

I have been buying Sam's ribs for years and they have been the best I could find anywhere. They were labeled Smithfield and this year they switched to a non labeled rib. These are truly awful. We have tried then 3 times, hoping each time that we "just got a bad one". They are much fattier (poorly trimmed) and they contain rib knuckles that the Smithfield ones never did. They also aren't nearly as meaty as the previous Smithfield ribs. Do yourself a favor and skip these.
