Loved this humidifier until it completely stopped working. The button doesn’t turn on. Save your receipt if you purchased!!!

i used it and it has started to make a very loud noise when you turn it on and doesnt always work after a few months should have taken it back

My item is defective and is smoking internally. Returning items to this company take longer because they very rarely email you back.  As well as the filter the post on this website to only reflects what they want viewers to see. Do not buy from here, look elsewhere.

Item Smoking & Used Less than 2 Weeks

I have bought two of these humidifiers, the first in 2016, which lasted almost 6 years. The newest one has better output than the older one and the controls have been updated a bit. I looked at other units and decided to stick with the Homedics humidifier. It has a large water capacity and can handle a 400 sq. ft. room. I wish it had a user specified default setting so you could start it with a single button. The controls allow a wide range of custom settings, but custom setup has to be repeated each time it is turned on. You can program operation by time, percent humidity or both. The lights can be turned off for night use in a bedroom or be left on as a nightlight if you prefer. Be sure to use the demineralization cartridge and clean the base unit frequently for best results.
