Stopped working after 2 weeks

Sadly, after 2 weeks of running it, the motor went bad. For 1 week, I used regular tap hard water. So I cleaned out the sediments and now use filtered water. Surprisingly, it worked with the tap water and the motor went bad when using the 'good' water. Pretty sure it's a coincidence. Either way, need to return which is a shame cause it is EXTRA dry in these winter months

Works as described

Had this 4 months now and run it daily (have to refill it every other day). It is silent and provides a good mist. Bought it for my 80 yr old mother who has trouble walking so needed something light and easy to refill. Just lift the water tank out, to fill it in a deep sink or with a tall faucet, and set it back into place. No fuss. No leaking or tipping over.

So far, so good

I bought this in March 2022 and used it about 2 month, then got it out for the dry fall/winter season about 2 months ago. So I've used it for about 4 months. I like the design - lift off tank with a screw on bottom. I like these way better than a top fill unit. I don't want a big pitcher sitting around and I fear those kind of units getting knocked over since they don't latch at the fill site. This unit is nice and simple. I wish it were bigger so I didn't have to fill as often, we run these 24/7 here in the dry mountains. But, its easy to lift off and fill in the sink and sits flat in the sink so you don't have to worry about holding on tp it to keep it from falling over as it fills.

It worked until it didn't

This worked great for keeping the humidity up in the winter months and loved that there wasn't a filter to mess with, but the fan stopped working after three months. We tried cleaning it and plugging in into different outlets. The power works, but the fan will not blow the mist into the air any more. Very disappointed.

Use distilled water!

I purchased this for my mother to use in her home. After running it a few days with tap water, her furnace stopped working. The furnace filter had become clogged with white dust from the humidifier. The furnace repairman instructed her to only use distilled water in the future. Things have been great since then and she loves this unit.
