I had wondered about this vacuum for quite a while if indeed it would pick up pet hair and keep my hardwood & carpet areas clean......I already owned a Shark battery vacuum so, I found it on sale & bought it, let me tell you it is amazing! The power it has is unreal and it gets every area clean, it was so simple to put together (did it myself) and it was easy to operate. You will not regret this purchase; it is a gem!

I am basing this review after using the vacuum 4x. I also got it on sale for $135 so that factors in as well. Overall I like it a lot. Powerful suction, even with the attachments. Quiet. Versatile with the tools provided. I actually enjoy cleaning again with this vacuum! Crevice tool is nice and the mini brush attachment does wonders for my sofas, stairs and hard to reach areas of carpet. I can see my the difference in my carpet as it looks refreshed so much more now. It’s not heavy, to me, and I carried it around cleaning the corners of my ceiling and baseboards and did not feel tired. Mobility was easy to learn, I think it’s best if you hold the handle at close to a 45 degree angle. I am 6ft tall and it’s not an issue to do this. I hope it lasts as I would buy this again. Only few things I don’t like, but are not deal breakers for the price I paid are: The cord length, it needs like three more feet. But if you plan your attack it’s manageable. The vacuum can fall when using the handle and attachments to clean the sofa or high places, but I found that if you just turn the base and face it to the right of what you are cleaning then it has not fallen for me. The only other picky thing is that you need to use the cord clip on the side when vacuuming or you will trip on it. But when you want to pull the handle out you have to undo the cord, which it’s taken me some times to remember that! Finally, I was impressed that I had accidentally run over a dryer sheet and despite it being stuck in the rollers the thing still kept on going. Also, and this took me a minute to realize as my previous vacuum is older, but when you turn it on, the suction and rollers will not start until you lower the handle, which is awesome imo. Also let’s you use the attachments and all the power is going to them.

I'm happy with the vacuum cleaner. I purchased 2 at the same time. I'm not so happy with the delivery. One arrived in good shape, the other was opened, the box was torn and taped shut, the attachment for cleaning up pet hair was gone and the instructions were gone. I haven't heard back from Sam's Club yet regarding replacement of the missing part.

I had a shark that I loved, but it was getting old and I thought I’d try this animal hair one. We have a long haired dog that sheds a lot. After about 3 minutes of vacuuming the light comes on saying the roller needs cleared. So I clear it and get about 5 minutes more. I’m ready to go back to my old shark.

This is the kind of item that you need to handle before you buy. If there is one thing about a vacuum that will make you hesitant to use, it's the maneuverability. Yes, this vacuum is powerful but with the larger cup size, it is very awkward and very stressful on the arms, back and shoulders. It's not just the large size, it's the way the weight is distributed. The cup is near the middle of the handle so when you are stroking it back and forth on your floors, it is constantly wobbling from side to side. I don't know about you, but that is uncomfortable for me and it discourages me from vacuuming. Like I needed another reason!

So I bought me this vacuum last year, which made me extremely happy but now a year later the shark vacuum lost suction on the handle to Vaccum the couchs. I'm Extremely disappointed because I own a shark vacuum before which lasted me 3 years no problem. This vacuum lasted me one year.

We had an older Shark for 6 years, and this doesn’t compare. I used this once and on the second use it doed within 5 minutes. When I returned it the girls at the customer service desk said that they’ve received a lot of returns with the same problem. Don’t waste your time with this time!

I bought this over a month ago. It's OK, it is heavier than I expected compared to my older, other brand vacuum. The design his not great. The power cord comes out at the bottom on the right side. This is poor design, especially for a right handed person. We would hold excess cord in left hand in order to push the vacuum with our right hand. By placing the power cord center, further up the unit would be more ambidextrous. The tiny plastic clip used to hold the cord up from floor broke the third time I used it. The machine is most suited to a left handed user. I would guess it was designed by a left handed person, someone who doesn't vacuum often. The attachments are junk and the plastic cracked at first use. The suction is pretty good but the beautiful clear collection tank looks like crap with first use......and I don't want to have clean my vacuum after every use to keep it looking nice. When emptied make sure you push it down into the garbage can because a cloud of dust will come flying back up at you. Its the pet model but does clog easily with pet hair. The cleaning wand is awkward and stiff and again could/should be designed better.

I had a Dyson that lasted 20 YEARS & it was wonderful until it just finally broke, took me 2 yrs to decide on another vacuum because of the various good/bad reviews, I bought a very cheap one until I could make a decision on a better one, BUT instead of spending $400-$500 on another dyson, I decided to give this one a try, on sale it was a great deal I thought! I do like it, BUT it is heavy, can get kinda backbreaking all the pushing & pulling & ONLY has 2 settings> hardwood or carpet, otherwise you can't move it up or down for short or longer shag carpet/rugs & ect, so it goes full speed suction on everything & will shred a rug & get hung up in seconds. Cord length is minimal, so have to constantly stop & plug it in closer. No light & only 2 attachments. It gets the job done I guess. I don't know why in the world anyone would need a 3XL cannister but whatever. It puts out A LOT OF HEAT, like pushing around a blowing heater. It has a good attachment for furniture & stairs. All in all, for $150 on sale, tax & all, it is a good buy! Hopefully it will last a few yrs!
