Great Chicken at a Fair Price

Man, you can't beat this chicken for a cheap, healthy meal to feed the family. They are larger than any other rotisserie chicken you will get from another store and at $4.98, you won't be able to beat the price either. One of the best reasons to have a Sam's membership.

PLEASE COOK COMPLETELY

I've been purchasing this chicken for years, it's the best value in taste, size, and makes great chicken salad. However, In the past 3 months I've gotten two that were not done, they were bloody around the thigh bone and the drumstick. I took one back, and now I inspect them to be sure they're brown (but not burnt). The burnt ones are dried out, so I look for one that's brown enough to be cooked thru, but not dry. Today, I bought one that I thought was going to be fine. But, upon cutting it open, it was red and had traces of blood near the bone. I'm returning it, and sadly may have to go back to Publix and pay twice as much for one half as big just to be sure it's done. Surely I'm not the only one with this issue. Please correct this issue, eating chicken that isn't completely cooked is dangerous. I have photos if proof is needed.

Three spoiled rotisserie chickens!

I purchased three rotisserie chickens and deboned them when I got home. I didn’t notice a bad smell until I put the chicken into a plastic container, refrigerating each one as I completed them. I then took the carcassses and boiled them for several hours. My house smelled so bad that I had to light scented candles all night to keep from getting nautious. I purchased these at the Greensburg, PA Sam’s Club. It will be a long time before I can even look at chicken!

Rotisserie Chicken

Great tasting, juicy and full of flavor. Sometimes you may get them that are slightly a little undercooked. You can't expect for them to temp every single part of the chicken. You can always throw it in the oven when you're about ready to use it. I like my skin a little bit crispier so I always throw mine in the oven for another 15 to 25 minutes. I use mine for soups, salads, fajitas, etc.

Nom nom

Best rotisserie chicken I've had store bought. Tender and juicy and flavorful. There's also more here than traditional grocery stores and it's a little cheaper. Only issue is they sell out really fast especially weekends so I have learned not to try my luck on those days. After trying 3 times I tried Monday and was successful lol.

Your SHRINKING PURCHASING POWER

A perfect example of your shrinking purchasing power. These USED to be a good value though not particularly good for you. They are loaded with preservatives and SALT! In the past, the birds USED to be a good 3+ pounds. Now the birds look they were put on a diet, weighing well short of 3 pounds. With all the FAT and preservatives, I'll pass......

Great taste

If you are feeding for a party of 100 and shredding it, I would recommend getting at least 10 so there will be enough leftover for the people who served it out. Go right when they open because they have it ready and fresh. If you go later, then there might not be enough. DO NOT call them as they will not pickup. I have tried calling them for an hour and they just won't answer. Just go in, grab it, and go.

Something changed

Chicken is not what it used to be. I keep telling myself that I'm going to stop buying them but I keep hoping it will change back. Not sure if the chicken used to be brined before roasting or not, but the chicken used to be so flavorful, juicy, and tender i could eat it on it's own. The last few I got were not so flavorful but at least were juicy and tender. This last chicken I got was neither flavorful, juicy, nor tender. Not sure if it's just the Sam's Club by me or not. I feel it is no longer worth it, and I won't be buying any more. Only gave it a second star because the price is still good.

Tastless Chicken

Bought a chicken that was just taken out of the rotisserie. Got home and was very disappointed because it was tasteless. We use to buy Sam's Club Rotisserie Chicken all the time and it was very tasty months ago. By looking at the reviews here, I may not be buying this chicken again.
