Tasteless, underdone chicken.

I’m finally giving up on purchasing the rotisserie chicken at Sam’s. It’s gotten steadily worse over the past couple of years to the point of being inedible. Totally tasteless, bloody meat around the leg and wing joints to the point that I hardly ate any of it and threw it away. Sad because this used to be good chicken and a good deal. It’s a total waste of money now.

Best Value in Town

If you are lucky enough to arrive when they are putting out a batch of freshly cooked chickens, better get two before that line that you will find there, snaps them up. When you are paying the same for a whole chicken that KFC sells a leg and a thigh for, you know you are getting a great deal. I like the dark meat so one meal is one leg and thigh and the next is the other. Then the next two are breast meat cut up into chunks going into my chicken noodle or cream of chicken soup or a salad. My kitties get some, too. About four meals plus pet food for $5? Wow!

Gross dinner

My recent purchase of a roast chicken was an absolute disaster. I brought it to the table still unopened after I had prepared sides for dinner. You can guess my shock as I opened it to slice it in front of my family and 4 huge flies had been closed up inside the container ever since it had been packaged. Needless to say there we sat with sides and no meat for a meal. But then who would feel like eating with such a sickening thing on your table. I did call customer service and report it and she refunded my money which is irrelevant after such an ordeal.

Rotisserie Chicken

We love this tasty rotisserie chicken! We like to get it for a supper and just add some sides with it. Easy dinner with little clean up. We usually have leftovers, so we cut it up and put in freezer bags to put in our homemade chicken noodle soup or make chicken salad. We never throw any of the chicken away.

Best Deal in Town

You can’t buy a chicken and cook it yourself! $3 cheaper than inane grocery stores and 1 lb larger than the others. I buy at least one a week. Delicious consistently. But so popular that I usually have to stand in line for these as the chickens come off the rotisserie. It well worth it.

Cannot think of a better deal

I love roasted chicken better than any other method, and these are always perfect. I try to get this stripped as soon as I get home: skin and bones into a pot, rinse out the container drippings, and return the meat to the container for use/freezer next day. Stock is so much better from a roasted bird. I don't think I can buy a raw chicken for this price, and the only time it takes is putting it into my cart as I "scan and go."

Always Uncooked

It always smells good when you walking the back of the store waiting for a chicken. I gwt two at a time. But everytime i get home and vegin to cut into it to feed my family, its not done and blood appears so i still have to cook because it now has to go in my oven.

Love these. so convient.

You can't go wrong with these! I'm so happy that they still come in box so that you can manage the carcus best as you debone and for storage. Trying to cut one from their competitor big box store is a nightmare. (Once you take the other stores chicken out to cut a serving, it's literally a hot mess, LOL) . My only complaint is that Sam's seems to have changed these to "seasoned rotisserie chicken" instead of just plain. It now has spices on it, bummer. You can see the coarse black pepper on it. I can no longer eat them now because I am HIGHLY allergic to the seasonings. I hope Sam's will consider not using spices so that people with health issues can enjoy them.

Just fantastic - a staple around our house

What can you say about these? They're fantastic, right? I use them for everything. I'll make chicken pot pies with them, chicken salad—they're so useful and make a quick, good dinner when the kids have other activities in the evening. Save me from having to go to fast food.

Great, but needs attention

Sam's typically offers the best rotisserie chicken on the market. However the last couple purchased were not cooked in the middle, bloody at the bone. It was unappealing to the eye and questioned the quality. Although I heated them up to complete the cooking process, I would prefer them be ready to eat as that is the convenience for the purchase.
