DO NOT BUY!! The machine worked great for about 4 months and then began to make loud noises when pumping water and eventually stopped working. I attempted to seek a warranty claim and after very poor response rate and over a month, I was told to ship the unit cross-country at my expense for them to examine the product.

First off, I haven’t had any of the problems a few others have reported. I was given this as a gift for Christmas. It’s now April. I'd never even considered getting one, but I love the ice this makes. I chose small bullets and they're the perfect size, plus slightly soft so I can chew them without tooth damage. There’s a larger setting, which takes a bit longer to make bigger ice. The machine works pretty quickly at the small setting and doesn't have to be attended every minute, so I can make ice while I'm doing other things around the house. I occasionally scoop out the ice and transfer it to a quart sized Ziploc, then lay it out flat in my freezer. This keeps the bullets separated. I like to do 3 bags and I can add to the bags in a rotation, so the cubes don’t all stick together. The ice maker is not as noisy as I expected either. When I've made a decent supply, I just wipe out the reservoir and put the maker away. (The top of mine looks a bit different from the picture.) This is sturdy and easy to keep clean. Now I'm spoiled, I'll have to buy another one when I wear this one out.

I purchased this ice maker to use in our RV. We only used it every couple of months for a few days at a time. It quit working just after the 1 year warranty expired and wouldn't power on at all. The warranty is not handled by Frigidaire, but by Curtis International, LTD. I would only consider buying this item if also purchasing an extended warranty and that's not something I usually recommend. I will be buying another ice maker soon, but certainly not one made by Frigidaire. It would have been less expensive to have just purchased bags of ice, as needed.

I received this as a gift for Xmas 2021. The fan on the first unit began to fail after 5 months. The return process was so arduous I waited for it to completely fail which occurred at 11 months. I went thru the process which including paying $25 to ship it to Curtis. The unit they shipped back didn't work. They wouldn't respond to my emails so I fixed it myself (bent refrigerant line blocking pinching water tube). I finally got them to respond and asked if the warranty would be extended since I wasn't certain if I had hurt anything. Nope. Warranty already expired. Now a cheap plastic part on the shovel broke. These things are junk. Sam's Club should consider not selling them anymore.

I purchased this ice maker almost 2 years ago and never had any issues with it. I would clean it, dry it and continue using it. This past week when I went to use it I noticed grey film clinging to the walls of the water holder, so I emptied it out and cleaned all everything that I could. I then noticed a black substance seeping from the one hinge at the back of the area where the cubes are actually made. Upon further inspection, I found what looks like black mold growing underneath the solid black lid. I am now afraid to use it with this happening in the machine. Just for kicks, I put water in it and plugged it back in, turned it on and now NOTHING on it works.

I had this ice maker for less than a year. It constantly needed to be cleaned. The part that holds the water and up where the ice is made was constantly becoming brown. I use filtered water when filling the machine so I wasn't understanding why the machine is constantly turning brown. It is not an easy machine to clean. When I tried cleaning it today, the part that holds the water when the ice is being made broke. Didn't even get a year out of the machine. The picture I have attached is less than a week after I had cleaned the machine.

Works fast. In the first 8 minutes I had ice cubes. The ice tends to drop wet so when you’re going to store in the freezer as I do it will stick to one another. I use my ice to put in a cooler so it doesn’t matter for me I just break it up by hand or in a grocery bag. For quick and fast ice this machine provides just that. It’s not like an ice machine that a fridge provides so don’t get if you think that’s how it works it doesn’t. Just a quick convenient alternative or for hurricane preparation so you’re not suffering from a heat stroke. Still a great buy I love it.

Worked perfectly the first week or so. Now it says Ice Full, even if there is nothing in there. Unplugging, restarting, everything we've tried, sometimes it will work for a little while, now i can't get the full ice light off at all. Of course we through the box and stuff away after it worked fine. Now I'm guessing I can't take it back. Less than 4 months I think?

I purchased this item 11/12/2021--- it only lasted 6 months. Just stopped working one day. I contacted the manufacturer for the 1 year warranty, sent it back to them on May 31st and STILL waiting for a replacement ice maker. It might say Frigidaire as the manufacturer but you have to send it to Canada to Curtis International for repair/replacement. I have called and emailed everyday and still no response for a replacement. I followed every instruction and directive on how to process the warranty and each time I call I get the same song and dance.... your ticket has been escalated for processing and you will be contacted in 1 business day. Horrible customer service!!!!

I rec’d this ice maker for Christmas and it broke in May and they want me to pay $63.00-$76.00 to mail it back to them!! Almost what it cost to buy. I will NEVER purchase anything from Frigidaire again. Customer Service is HORRIBLE and takes forever for them to respond. I will just take a loss on it and consider it a lesson learned to never buy Frigidaire again. If I could give this a 0 rating I definitely would!
