[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fan of red wine, I prefer Cabernet Savignon as I feel like most blends are thin and non descript. This was not the case with The Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend. Aging in the barrel provides rich notes that give it more depth than it's competitors.

Red blends are just multiple red types of red grapes blended together so you never know what you’re going to get. Some can be sweeter and some can be dry and this Robert Mondavi red blend wine is on the dry side compared to others I have had. The notes are fruity and vanilla. Red blend wines are good to drink with darker meats such as steak and potatoes. The flavor is very rich and warms you up on a cold night

It was a little dry but i was eating some garlic aioli crusted salmon with parmesan potatoes. it intensified the flavor of my food. Boldrye flavor but well rounded

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this wine, it is very smooth and easy to drink. You get hints of the Rye Barrel with each sip I would say. Not usually into blends but it wasn't bad flavor wise and for the price you really can't beat it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavenly aroma a red blend that was a long stronger than i expected. That was fine by me! The rye was distinctive and the taste again was smooth with hints of smoky flavor. This would pair nicely with a steak dinner on a date night.

We tasted strong hints of black cherry and blackberries with a more subtle hint of woodsy oak and spice. This paired well with the charcuterie board. I believe this wine would be a great accompaniment with a hearty beef stew or pot roast, gravy and potatoes! We will definitely have this wine on hand for holiday season entertaining!

I could definitely taste the hints of acidic flavor, which some may like. We paired it with a simple cheese board and light hors d'oeuvres.

Because it was out of stock it has made me very curious as to how it tastes. I'm sure to try it on my next store visit. I rated it a 5 because of its popularity.
