I discovered Robert Mondavi on our honeymoon in 1988 while on a wine tour in CA. It has been a fan favorite of family gatherings since that time. I love the Red Blend as just a great combo of grapes!

I grabbed a bottle of this to try out and was pleasantly surprised. If you like a rye whiskey then you will like this cab. It's sweet (not moscato sweet) and smooth. I will definitely buy again.

Red blends are just multiple red types of red grapes blended together so you never know what you’re going to get. Some can be sweeter and some can be dry and this Robert Mondavi red blend wine is on the dry side compared to others I have had. The notes are fruity and vanilla. Red blend wines are good to drink with darker meats such as steak and potatoes. The flavor is very rich and warms you up on a cold night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine surprised me the most as I thought maybe it would be too heavy, and it really wasn't. It had a hint of an oaky taste to me, which I enjoy, I also felt it would go great with so many dishes, including pastas and various meat dishes.

I really liked that this Wine did not have a lingering taste but instead left me wanting more. I would definitely recommend that you try this blend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel Aged Red Blend. It had a very heady aroma and the flavor definitely was reminiscent of that Rye flavor from the barrel. Overall it was very tasty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Regarding the aroma of this wine, it had notes of whiskey and a stronger scent of ethanol. In addition, the flavor of the wine was rye-forward. The barrel aging was very prominent in the flavor and body of this wine. I would recommend pairing it with homemade sauce-less pizza, or other comfort foods. When taking small sips, I loved the flavor and viscosity. When taking larger sips, I did notice the alcohol after-taste.
