I discovered Robert Mondavi on our honeymoon in 1988 while on a wine tour in CA. It has been a fan favorite of family gatherings since that time. I love the Red Blend as just a great combo of grapes!

I grabbed a bottle of this to try out and was pleasantly surprised. If you like a rye whiskey then you will like this cab. It's sweet (not moscato sweet) and smooth. I will definitely buy again.

The taste is smooth and has a smoke finish to it. Tastes wonderful with cheese and steaks. Definitely a wonderful wine. I will purchase more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend is a red blend wine with tones of boysenberry, gingerbread, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It has a subtle smoky flavor but still has a sweet, well-rounded taste. It's a great red blend with a flavor unique from others I have tried. I would definitely recommend!

It was very smooth and very dry! This was my favorite!! Very Potent and just perfect!! I would in the future pair this wine with cheese and a stew. Must buy!!

The aroma was sweet and flavorful you could tell that this one had lots of different flavors in it which was amazing. You definitely compare this with anything or you can enjoy it by itself

The Rye barrel-aged red blend was the most obvious of the barrel it came from (Rye) and that Rye-lovers would enjoy it. We enjoyed it too! It paired really well with truffled goat cheese.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed this wine but it wasn’t my favorite. It was quite dry. It had a bit of a bite with almost a spicy finish. It did had a wonderful smell with oak and black pepper flavors. Overall I probably would not buy again if I had the option to purchase the merlot or Cabernet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, this variety was not available within a 50 mile radius from where I live. I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. This makes me sad, because red blends are usually my favorite and I was very much looking forward to trying this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Rye Barrel Aged Red Blend had a grapey smell, so I was really excited upon first sniff, but the taste was my least favorite of the 3. It was just kind of blah apart from a tiny bit of sweetness on the tongue, but the roof of my mouth went the way of an Arizona wind: SO dry. Would NOT buy again.
