Just Ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I drank this with friends while enjoying a charcuterie board. The wine had many differenr flavors come out while sampling different foods. I tasted some vanilla and then at times it was peppery. It was smooth, but i felt like i would have to research what I had to eat with this first. i would want to avoid certain pairings. some cheeses did not go well. I would not seek this out to purchase again, but wouldnt be upset if i saw it at a party or it was gifted to me. it was just ok.

Red with a kick!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rye aged red blend was exactly as it sounds. It had the classic Mondavi red taste with that little kick of rye. It’s smooth, with a full-bodied taste and a hint of rye. I would definitely recommend!

Dry jammy taste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend: We paired with Bolognese to hopefully tone down taste because personally I'm not too big of red wines but was willing to taste for being sponsored by Ripple Street and Robert Mondavi for my honest opinion. I like to taste my wines first before reading ingredients, so I won't miss flavors that were prominent. I was definitely able to smell some sorts of fruit-black cherries upon opening. Kind of jammy, spiced, and with a slight hint of "mesquite smoke" or oaky taste.

Smooth wine and medium body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is it a pleasant wine to drink it worked out well when I needed to deglaze a recipe on the fly. It added amazing flavor. Paired it with a light lunch of grilled shrimp over a mixed green salad.

Rye Barrel-Aged Red

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The aroma is of spice. The appearance is thicker and dark burgundy. The taste is black cherry forward with the spice finish. More acidic than I prefer. Still a good drinking with on a cool evening. I could see myself having this on a cool evening sitting by a fire.

Very delicious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine had a nice color red to it. The wine had a nice sweet aroma to it. I could taste the dark sweetness of the different berries that are in this. I had some sharp white cheddar cheese with this and it was a great match to combine that little snack with it.

My Favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a beautiful garnet red color red blend! It’s oaky spice & dark plum flavors were delicious! It had a long finish which paired well with the dark chocolate! This was my favorite wine of the night!!!

Red above the rest ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mondavi has a nice selection of wines at a decent price point. This wine in particular has a nice clean finish, it pairs nicely either with a meal or just as a sipping wine. I would suggest this wine to those who prefer a semi-dry red at a reasonable price. The taste is easy and not as dry as other red blends.

Great bouquet, dry but sweet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another wine where the verdict is split. The aroma was sweet, fruity, and did not actually match the flavor of the wine at all. The flavor reviews bordered between dry and sweet. It had more of a simplistic flavor profile, though a great bouquet. We paired it with various meats, cheeses and chocolate, and found that it went best with a garlic or blueberry-vanilla goat cheese. Also, an intense dark chocolate brought out the sweetness of the wine as well! Will definitely buy again, is a great choice for a Pinot Noir.

I'm obsessed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's such a smooth, easy to drink, delicious blend! My fiance loves bourbon and usually refuses to drink wine but he even enjoyed a few glasses with me! I'm excited to be able to share a bottle with him now. Sort of peppery, dense, amazing!
