For years the chicken salad was the main reason I came to Sam's Club, but something has changed in a very upsetting way. My first encounter was a few months ago when unnoticed it looked grey and sickly, not the usual vibrant white… I thought it must be a bad batch and avoided it. But week after week, I continued to find it this way (even trying different stores), so it was clearly a corporate level change so I ventilate bought the unsightly grey version. It was not good. Nothing like what I had been eating for years and I couldn't even finish it which says a lot in this economy. Very sad with this development, but somewhat validated in seeing all these similar comments! Hopefully our voices reach someone at corporate and this terrible change is undone. Until such time, I'm sure stores are going to be tossing more and more of this failed experiment out each week as people refuse to buy it.

Sams club rotisserie chicken salad has always been my absolute favorite chicken salad - I won't buy any other brand, at least it was until yesterday! I bought a container to appease a deep seated craving for my comfort food of chicken salad in the Sams Club mini croissants. And I was instantly and incredibly disappointed!! The flavor is completely off. It has way too much seasoning with a stronger buttery rotisserie skin flavor than shredded chicken in a creamy sauce flavor, not balanced at all. And the aftertaste lingers, not in a good way. The celery is a more brown color and not fresh or crispy, and even the celery tastes like it's been steeped in the seasonings. The texture was different- no chunks (i'm ok with smaller chunks but the flavor change is an absolute NO). Every single bite made it more and more repulsive. I couldn't finish my mini croissant sandwich. This makes me so sad, as this really was the only chicken salad I would ever buy and I've been completely brand loyal for years- but this means I have to go on a hunt somewhere else for a new chicken salad- because unless you bring back the original recipe I won't be buying it ever again.

This is really really bad. First of all I have no idea what type of rubber rotisserie they claim to be using but it's not the one they put out. It is bland and more of a mayonnaise stew. Save yourself the disappointment. Buy the regular rotisserie, some mayo, celery, salt n pepper and make your own. Sam's should be ashamed to sell this.

I was buying this salad every one and half weeks. I added additional celery and it was great Then I bought the salad about 3 weeks ago . I ate it and my stomach got upset. I tried it the next day and again my stomach got upset. I threw it out, I haven't bought it since. Someone ruined a good thing. Too bad I really liked the salad.

We have eaten this for years and it has always been excellent. The recent change in recipe makes this inedible for me and my family and we will not buy this again unless the old recipe returns. There used to be nice chunks of chicken and now the consistency is like tuna fish and tastes awful!! GO BACK TO THE OLD RECIPE!! We miss it at our house!

I would like others to know that may not be aware that the original chicken salad recipe is gone. The one Sam's sells now is trash. Idk why they changed it but they did and it's disgusting. Please go back to the original classic recipe bc clearly you're receiving so many negative reviews.

This was another one of our go-to's for quick and fast and easy, especially if we were traveling! sometimes we might have added more onions to it and chopped up the bigger pieces of meat! But it was great!!!!!!! The last time we purchased it, they changed the ingredients. something terrible was added to it. We returned it. it was so bad! Sam's club quit changing your recipes!!!!!!!

We have been buying the chicken salad for years. It has been a staple to take on vacations and for lunches during the work week. The new chicken salad is awful. They put a whole sushi bar in the store but making the chicken salad fresh was too much to handle so they had to outsource it? So sad. Quality and customer satisfaction is definitely not the priority.
