The pair of ribeyes we purchased rank as some of the best, if not the best, beef we have ever eaten. No special preparations, just removed from the package and placed on the grill. We stopped at rare with one and took the other one to just short of medium. Tenderness, even in the medium done steak, was remarkable. These steaks made for a memorable meal. Actually, two meals! And my remark about rare and medium, that was entirely the grill’s responsibility, I’m definitely not a chef who could plan such a thing.

Sam's prime beef is excellent. I can always find rib eyes with really good marbling and a large cap on them. To me,the taste is the best when you shake your spices on them and they're flame kissed med to med well on a gas grill. Oh yeah, a bit of A1 Bold n Spicy too. Yummmmmm.

I enjoyed the rib eye prime cuts. I.often marinate.and.them pan.fry. often.freeze some since the package is so big. Please.offer.smaller portions.since price.is 20$ per pound.

Wow! I have bought my meat at Sam’s for at least 25 or 30 years and never have I gotten a worse steak than the one contained in this package. When I pay for a prime ribeye, I expect it to be tender. One of these steaks was nothing but gristle! I was so very disappointed in this.

The most tender halves were cut off each steak. I called the club and asked why we were given half steaks, but they only said that the "picker" (it was a pick-up order) just picked those packages. That didn't solve my dilemma. Ribeyes are strangely-shaped steaks when they're only oval on one side when the other half has been cut off. It was a bit embarrassing to serve them to company who wondered if they were really being served ribeye. I won't be paying the "prime" price for Sam's to give us less than prime ribeye again.

The meat was tuff. I worked in the meat department and understand what a good cut is supposed to look like. But this meat was too tuff for the marbling it had!!!

We've been buying prime quality beef here for a long time but lately we seem to be paying extra for lesser quality meat. These last ribeyes were so tough and fibrous they weren't fit for human consumption...maybe not even for animal consumption! We've also had issues with baked goods and when you talk to the employees in the meat dept or bakery, they are flippant and uncaring. Very disappointed and losing trust in Sams.

Disappointed. I bought it as ‘prime’, it was not as tender or tasty as prime usually is. I buy Sam’s club steaks and rib roasts constantly. I wonder if this was a slice of ‘choice’ mislabeled. I am loyal and will keep buying Sam’s beef and hope it will be good next time.

I bought 2 of these through pickup order and didnt look at them until I got them home I basically paid 37$ for fat! There wasnt enough meat on 2 steaks to make 1 person happy or full! Terrible quality, which usually isnt the case. Until inread thenreviews inthough maybe it was just a one time thing. I will go in to buy my meat from now on!

I have purchased steaks twice at Sam’s, Ribeye and New York Strip. Both were supposed to be Prime at least that is what the label said. They were very tough. You need to send your meat department employees to HEB to understand what quality meat is. I will never buy steak from Sam’s again.
