Check sell by date :(

Rookie mistake. I forgot to check the sell by date before purchasing. When i went to use the spinach 3 days after i bought it, there were pieces that were already slimy and going bad. When i checked the stamped date, it stated the previous calendar day. How frustrating to spend that much money on a package of spinach only to have it start spoiling before I'm ready to use it!!! Why does Sam's Club continue to sell products that are not the best quality?!?!? I should not have to check dates and search the very back of the display when purchasing food. Disappointed.

Rotten, yuk

We ordered this through curbside pickup so we did not have a chance to look at dates or condition of the spinach. But when we got it home and opened it the next day, the spinach was slimy, rotting. They gave us one with a date that was expiring the very next day. Had we known that was the case, we would not have bought it! Don't buy this if you are ordering online!

Clean and flavorful

The leaves are large for "baby" spinach. However, the package contents were clean. After the first heavy rinse there was no dirt in the bottom of my salad spinner. Usually I find a lot of sand in the bottom of the rinse bowl with other brands. I will purchase this item again and chop the leaves. Also, the flavor after a light saute in butter was very good.

Soggy

I don't know what happens with this spinach, my guess is that it is kept way too cold, sort of defrosts when I bring it home and put it in a normal refrigerator and gets soggy within two or three days. enter off buying a smaller bag at walmart and avoid the waste.

Very fresh and priced right

I quite buying the 1# boxes of organic baby spinach at our two local grocery stores because it would get rotten quickly. This is pre washed but very well dried, so it lasts well over a week after the box has been opened. We don't get to Sam's Club very often but when we do, I always buy this spinach.

Normally a Good Value - But Not Now

I buy 1-2 boxes of this every week for my small business. Normally it is a good value, but in the last month it has not been as good...I find lots of rotting leaves, which causes the whole box to go bad very quickly. Today I hand selected 2 boxes with the latest date codes, but had to sift through and pull out the rotten pieces before I could use them.

Eat it all right away!

Great product but you better Use it all the day you buy it! They pack the wet spinach in the container so tight that the spinach starts going bad right away. Did not last until the "use by" date. Lasted just a few days before we had lots of rotten spinach.

Spinach

Spinach is consistently at the top of the "dirty dozen" list of produce sprayed with pesticides, so even though I don't buy everything organic, organic spinach is a must. I am very happy to be able to get a good amount for a good price at Sam's. It has always been fresh and lasts in the refrigerator for about a week.

Trash Product

This used to be a good product with nice baby spinach leaves. Most of the time now I get varying wet, slimy roughage with tough stems and half eaten at leaves. Since when is it acceptable to put something aside from the advertised product into the container? It’s not Baby Spinach. Also, when has it become acceptable to sell produce that has been half eaten at by bugs? This time a hard, black piece of plastic was in the spinach! Do better Earthbound Farms or Sam’s doesn’t need to carry your products.

Ok if you use it up fast

I don't know how fresh the spinach is when I purchased it, but I can't let it sit in the fridge at all or it will turn slimy very fast, so I bring it home and freeze it in smaller packages for my smoothies. For that is is ok, but I wish it was fresher.
