LOVE TO UPGRADE ?

When I first purchase this, I line the bottom, top & edges with 1 layer of paper towels; it's extended the life of the spinach; protecting its tender leaves from moisture containers tend to develope. Love using Organic Baby Spinach in sandwiches / as salads with olives & other veggies / add to taste to smoothies with an apple, nut milk, alkaline water & other ingredients / cheese, onions mushrooms, scrambled eggs & sliced up Spinach, Himalaiyan salt & black pepper. Whatever the recipe, it's always an upgrade w/ "Healthy Spinach."

Pay attention to expiration dates

The expiration date was the date after I picked this up. I wish the employees picking out items for my order would pay attention to the date. Much of it was bad and I couldn’t eat the rest of it within 24 hours so I ended up throwing it away. Total waste of money.

Spinach is usually excellent...not this time.

i get two spinaches per week - used the pick-up option - disappointed in the poor quality - yellowing leaves and some leaves mushy - not very appetizing. i usually do my own shopping and would like to think the picker selects as if they were shopping for their own family. there should be more care for quality, esp. in the pick-up program.

Ok if you use it up fast

I don't know how fresh the spinach is when I purchased it, but I can't let it sit in the fridge at all or it will turn slimy very fast, so I bring it home and freeze it in smaller packages for my smoothies. For that is is ok, but I wish it was fresher.

Check sell by date :(

Rookie mistake. I forgot to check the sell by date before purchasing. When i went to use the spinach 3 days after i bought it, there were pieces that were already slimy and going bad. When i checked the stamped date, it stated the previous calendar day. How frustrating to spend that much money on a package of spinach only to have it start spoiling before I'm ready to use it!!! Why does Sam's Club continue to sell products that are not the best quality?!?!? I should not have to check dates and search the very back of the display when purchasing food. Disappointed.

Very fresh and priced right

I quite buying the 1# boxes of organic baby spinach at our two local grocery stores because it would get rotten quickly. This is pre washed but very well dried, so it lasts well over a week after the box has been opened. We don't get to Sam's Club very often but when we do, I always buy this spinach.

Hit or miss with spinach

When the harvest and handling are well timed, this is a great source for a good power green... and when they aren't optimal, we lose most of the container to bruising and rapid spoilage. So we check the packages well before grabbing these. I've also found that if we let the container rest on the counter until the condensation dissipates then we can rebag the spinach (usually in two gallon ziplock bags) while removing any suspicious leaves to avoid spoiling. YMMV

Tender little greens

Love having a big tubby full of leafy greens. The price is a huge incentive to grab a container from Sams. Love they sell Earthbound Farms. We’ve never had a bad batch. Always fresh and tender! Only drawback is you need to be careful how you open the package…if you’re not careful, the seal can be pulled away, first time you open, which will make resealing impossible. We learned from experience.

Disappointed

I've purchased this Spinach for years and the leaves seem to be getting bigger. Not sure it qualifies as "Baby" Spinach anymore. Also it's mostly stalk. I started cutting the excess stalk off and there is hardly any Spinach. I'm probably going back to grocery store spinach since you get about the same amount for $5 and don't have to spend the time cutting off the stalk.

Excellent

I am giving this Organic Baby Spinach a 5 star rating for three reasons; this is the first salad I have bought that did not go bad in less than a week. The second reason I am impressed, is that after I washed it like I always do with all my vegetable even if they said washed and ready to eat, the water I used to wash it was very clear showing that it was thoroughly washed. Finally, I like this clear storage container because it makes for easy storage if you don't finish the salad at first and it also makes it easy to see when its about to go bad so you can consume it in time.
