LOVE TO UPGRADE ?

When I first purchase this, I line the bottom, top & edges with 1 layer of paper towels; it's extended the life of the spinach; protecting its tender leaves from moisture containers tend to develope. Love using Organic Baby Spinach in sandwiches / as salads with olives & other veggies / add to taste to smoothies with an apple, nut milk, alkaline water & other ingredients / cheese, onions mushrooms, scrambled eggs & sliced up Spinach, Himalaiyan salt & black pepper. Whatever the recipe, it's always an upgrade w/ "Healthy Spinach."

Excellent

I am giving this Organic Baby Spinach a 5 star rating for three reasons; this is the first salad I have bought that did not go bad in less than a week. The second reason I am impressed, is that after I washed it like I always do with all my vegetable even if they said washed and ready to eat, the water I used to wash it was very clear showing that it was thoroughly washed. Finally, I like this clear storage container because it makes for easy storage if you don't finish the salad at first and it also makes it easy to see when its about to go bad so you can consume it in time.

Good quality spinach at a great price!

Always happy with this product. Spinach is tender, and lasts well beyond the best buy date. I place a paper towel over the top of the spinach and close the lid, otherwise I seem to get moisture on the inside of the lid, causing the spinach to spoil sooner.

Disappointed

I've purchased this Spinach for years and the leaves seem to be getting bigger. Not sure it qualifies as "Baby" Spinach anymore. Also it's mostly stalk. I started cutting the excess stalk off and there is hardly any Spinach. I'm probably going back to grocery store spinach since you get about the same amount for $5 and don't have to spend the time cutting off the stalk.

Spinach

Spinach is consistently at the top of the "dirty dozen" list of produce sprayed with pesticides, so even though I don't buy everything organic, organic spinach is a must. I am very happy to be able to get a good amount for a good price at Sam's. It has always been fresh and lasts in the refrigerator for about a week.

I always have this on-hand

I try to always a spinach, cabbage, and tomatoes available as they are so versatile and can be used in so many dishes. I find that this spinach stays much fresher than the stuff you buy in plastic bags. I can buy a package and eat from it for at least a week.

Clean and flavorful

The leaves are large for "baby" spinach. However, the package contents were clean. After the first heavy rinse there was no dirt in the bottom of my salad spinner. Usually I find a lot of sand in the bottom of the rinse bowl with other brands. I will purchase this item again and chop the leaves. Also, the flavor after a light saute in butter was very good.

Check sell by date :(

Rookie mistake. I forgot to check the sell by date before purchasing. When i went to use the spinach 3 days after i bought it, there were pieces that were already slimy and going bad. When i checked the stamped date, it stated the previous calendar day. How frustrating to spend that much money on a package of spinach only to have it start spoiling before I'm ready to use it!!! Why does Sam's Club continue to sell products that are not the best quality?!?!? I should not have to check dates and search the very back of the display when purchasing food. Disappointed.

Poor cost saving move!

The product is great, but the packaging is horrible! The manufacture/distributor implimented a cost saving move by switching from a rigid plastic lid to a re-sealable firm lid. The re-sealable film does not re-seal tightly thus air and moisture enters the container, condensate forms and the product starts to spoil in 3-4 days. The old rigid plastic snap lid provided a tighter fit which helped to prolong the product’s shelf life. I think most consumers would be willing to pay a few cents (2-3) more to revert back to the original packaging lid! HACK: The product’s shelf life can be further extended by using paper towels throughout the container.

Always On My Weekly Grocery List

This spinach lives up to its reputation. Leaves are vibrant, crisp, and free from blemishes. You can tell right away that this is high-quality produce, and unlike some other brands, Earthbound's spinach stays fresh for longer, even when stored in the fridge. Whether you're preparing a quick salad, tossing it into a smoothie, or using it as a side dish, this spinach offers unbeatable quality at a price that makes it easy to add to your weekly grocery list. Highly recommended!
