Slide & lock features make lifetime 116 storage bench super easy to put together. If your looking to not move around and storing light weight like blankets, don't even need to bother with the hardware. The lid & floor planks are sturdy, but heavy items can bow the long front and back sides if placed improperly. Manual states bench is not water proof, so don't throw it in a pool. :) The color is more accurate on the lifetime website.2 boxes fit beautifully in an L shape on a standard 5'x8' with railing / half of patio.

Seems sturdy, however it is no better than similarly priced competitors such as Keter. My biggest gripe is the assembly, which was overly complicated needing unnecessary amount of tools that were not provided. The lid won't close completely because the two metal locks rub against each other. In a word, if this is on massive discount buy it. Otherwise, I'd stick with its competitors such as Keter or Suncast which I also own and happy with.

I purchased a 150 gallon deck box for a Christmas gift. It came unassembled. The assembly was easy. All of the part fit as they should. There was an extra of each nut, bolt and washer - but they weren't needed. I assembled it by myself although the instructions recommended two people. I was very pleased with the product.

Seems to be doing pretty good outside on my patio. It rained sideways last week and in had dried water spots on it the next morning. I opened it and it was dry inside. That's all I can ask for. Does its job. Not too difficult to put together. Download the BLT app and follow the instructions there. I'm happy with it.

Deck storage along with everything else has been hard to find this year. When I found this deck box o wasnt sure how it would look when assembled. It looked great, good color and blends in with the spa. Its also very solid with metal hinges and reinforced lid. I want another!

I bought this because my wife and I patio furniture on both sides of our house, a large Deck and a large patio. Since we updated the cushions we have been putting them in large bags and bringing the into the garage. I have looked at several different storage bins but nothing impressed me. I have bought several Liftetime product over the years, large storage shed, and a yard cart, and I couldn't be happier with the quality and how they serve the purpose. So because a I am a satisfied customer I invested in the Lifetime storage box. I receive the storage box one morning, and immediatly put it together. very easy to follow directions, very quick installation and I could tell by the quallity and how it fit together I made a great choice. Now all the cushions for both patios are placed in the storage box and they are now now cut off from the element. I keep it outside on the deck because it looks good andI know its going to keep everything dry. Two days after placing the box on the deck we had high winds and a lot of rain, so it got the toughest test right away, and it kept everything dry, not one drop. We could not be happier.

I just received and assembled this unit. It looks good and seems to be exactly what it is supposed to be. So I should give it 5 stars but I cannot. 8 of the large screws used to mount metal pieces to the plastic box could not be used because the holes in the flat metal pieces are too small (or the screws are too large, you decide). If someone at Lifetime is reading this review they are the 4 DRF screws needed to mount the hinge to the side of the box and the 4 DRG screws used to mount the metal stiffener across the front of the box, I had to find my own smaller flat head, coarse thread screws. to complete the job. That was a time consuming annoyance but the real problem is I am worried that the smaller screws will not last, I fear I will be forced to partially disassemble the box, drill out the 8 holes and hope the original screws "bite" in the smaller holes. I do not understand how something like this happens. Doesn't anyone pull a unit off the assembly line once in a while and try assembling it? The 3 other sizes of self tapping screws and nuts and bolts are in the same blister pack and they worked fine. So it seems unlikely to be a "one off" error. For mow it is built and in use. We will see if it lasts.

The box went together easily. The instructions were easy and straight forward. It is a very sturdy heavy duty box. Appears to be water tight and critter proof (as critter proof as anything can be). So impressed that the next day I ordered another one (I have a lot of cushions to store). Now, I damaged one of the gas spring that keeps the lid open when in use. Not a product problem nor a instruction problem, this was clearly an "installer" problem. I called to order a replacement. In 10 seconds the rep understood what product I had and what part I was requesting. 30 seconds later, he had all of my information. I never repeated anything! Then he said, "ok, it's on the way". I asked, "what about a credit card for the part", he answered that he was authorized to take care of this type of situation and was sending it out at no cost. I responded that perhaps I miscommunicated but this wasn't a warranty situation nor an issue with poor instructions, I broke the part. He said that he understood and that they were glad to take care of it. Great Product, great experience!

Purchased through Costco. Takes a bit longer to build that I initially thought, but the result is very solid construction. There was a piece that did not fit properly upon construction, however, customer service at Lifetime was very helpful and took care of the issue with one call.

I have enjoyed the 150 gallon outdoor storage deck box for almost three years. It is a well designed and manufactured product that has stood up remarkably well to the high heat, humidity and precipitation in Florida. It's still Florida though and when a few of the metal components showed signs of rust I emailed customer support and got a prompt reply and shipment on the parts I needed. Great product and customer support!
