I purchased this about 2 weeks ago and just arrived. It took my husband about 2 hours to put together. Very heavy and sturdy. We live in the country and when it storms, we have to be careful about what is left out on the deck, as it blows away. We can fit the lawn chairs and swing cushions in the box and not worry about bringing them into the house. I really love this deck box.

We purchased two of these deck boxes to store our deck furniture cushions in. Delivery was super fast (arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule). I am constantly trying to prove to my husband how handy I am by doing my best to assemble any deliveries myself. I even got to use a power screw driver for this one! Directions were pretty easy to follow, and as always I was happy that there were little pics of each piece, so I knew what they were. I took me about an hour and a half to put together the first one, which seems like a long time, but I also had a large dog who kept stealing my tools and a pain in the butt cat that decided that the directions were his bed. After locking the cat in the basement and putting the dog outside, the second box's assembly was a piece of cake. So far so good as far as the quality of the boxes. They are sturdy for sure, but my main concern was keeping my cushions dry. We have had several substantial storms just in the last week and although the one lid is a tiny bit warped and doesn't close perfectly tight, I've had no problem with leakage at all. Cushions were bone dry after each storm even thought the direction of the rain was coming right at the front of the box. So, yes. These boxes are just what I wanted!

The Lifetime deck box suited it's purpose exactly. A recent total spring cleanup of the entire outdoors surrounding our home it was time to replace a tired and rather old similar facility. The Lifetime box fit in perfectly in appearance and durability. It earned the five star rating.

When my wife wanted a storage container to keep our deck chair seat cushions, I said wonderful, another cheap plastic container to have around the house. Much to my surprise, it well made, not bad to look at, and fairly easy to assemble. I had to use a drill to make some pilot holes and it took two of us to hold the unit in place when screwing together. An hour later, voila, it was done and works well keeping out the rain water. The unit is susceptible to humidity so I don't recommend storing paper item in it.

We have several lifetime products. Shed, tables, fishing kayak. Quality has been fantastic with everything. Assembly of this box was a snap. Nice waterproof storage chest for on our deck.

We purchased this to hold our outdoor chair cushions. It has plenty of room inside and is sturdy. Our negative rating has to do with the hinges. I had to request 2 hinges as they were missing upon delivery. The company at Lifetime was great and sent the hinges within a week. My husband attached the cover and said the hinges were poorly made. The cover does not close completely. Maybe over time when it adjusts it will close tighter. ??

Bought 2. First one fit fine. Second one had hinges that did not snap on. Customer service Sent new ones quickly but only 1 worked. Going to try once again to get another. Nice chest but turning into a problem.

Not as good of quality as I had hoped. I bought a deck box in the past from Sam’s Club and loved it. I thought I was buying the same piece. This one is very poorly constructed and not as sturdy. Where some of the nails are supposed to be drilled into the plastic the nails don’t line up well with the plastic. I’m hoping it doesn’t crack in those areas. Lid does not close as tight.

Need a college degree to assemble. Too many parts. After several hours and a few arguments, we decided something was wrong. The holes were too small in the metal hinges for the designated screws. I called the company, they sent new hinges. They were fast, received within a week. But it’s still sitting there waiting for us to finish. Not in the mood. We expected something like Rubbermade, you just put together with no tools, we were going to order another one when it was back in stock, but no way, it’s not worth all the work.
