We saw this storage box online and liked the price and features. The color is actually dark brown, not the grey shown online. After ordering it was quickly shipped. The assembly is extensive but the instructions are well done. You definitely need the tools recommended, especially the battery powered drill with nut driver. There are many self tapping screws. The finished box is very sturdy and is made to high quality standards. We have our deck chair cushions stored in it and hope it is reasonably weather proof. The manufacturer clearly states it’s not waterproof, but we are hoping it’s water resistant. Time will tell.

I bought this several weeks ago. Upon putting it together, I found one of the two gas springs broken. The retaining clip in the ball join was broken or missing. The other gas spring was installed but broke a few days later. This could have been a result of only one gas spring working. I called Lifetime. The rep was very friendly and (hopefully) helped with my problem by sending out two replacement gas springs. It is 9 days later and the springs have not arrived and no tracking number was giving. So speed is not a strong point apparently. Somewhat disappointed with the product and warranty process.

I purchased this after seeing the “jumbo” size at my local Sam’s Club. I was looking for a new tack box to put outside my horse’s stall. Needed something bigger, but not so long that it would cover up part of his door or the stall next to his (this the jumbo was way too long). This box is PERFECT! I love that it’s tall - the amount of stuff it holds is awesome. My boyfriend built me some shelving and dividers that I’ve put in it for organization. I also LOVE the way it looks. The brown wood-like finish fits in perfectly at the barn, but at literally 1/10th the cost of a real wooden trunk - plus the upkeep with a plastic one like this is so much easier. The wood-like finish doesn’t look cheap at all - it looked exactly like it does in the photos. The easy open lid is also great because I don’t have to lean the lid back on his stall door when it’s slid open, which causes issue when I am opening and closing it when a tack trunk lid is leaning on it. All of my friends at the barn have commented how much they love my new “tack trunk” and are asking where I got it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - multi-purpose, and beautiful to look at. Very classy.

The box was pretty easy to assemble; took less than an hr; one of the gas shocks for the lid hinge would not attach at one end, but they sent a new pair within a week of my call. The new one went on easily. Looks very nice and is sturdy enough for my 2 grown sons to sit on. It holds 8 chair cushions (24" sq) + 2 lumbar pillows and a bag of bird seed. I will contact Sam's though because I paid $139.98 < 2 weeks ago & now it is shown at $119.

Product seems made of quality, durable materials. The directions to assemble were as unclear as only an engineer could make them. Seriously the pictures were minuscule with few close up views. How about putting a few stickers with messages like "Left side, Right side, bottom" etc? I'm pretty good at assembly/making things and I got the thing almost 100% assembled before I realized that the sides, which are almost identical, were reversed. So It sits outside waiting for clement weather to re assemble the whole thing.

Package arrived in a timely manner. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. However, needed tools were not exactly correct, I had to purchase additional tools to assemble this. Screws/bolts were metric, not standard. Once assembled, it is very sturdy. Very large capacity. Glad that it is a Lifetime brand. Good quality.

I have assembled 3 other deck boxes of another brand. They were a snap compared to this. Very difficult to line up and insert screws. Exterior of box incorrectly states only a drill and screwdriver are needed. Will not be purchasing this brand again.

Had a problem with a part, called the number on the documentation, and was connected immediately to a wonderfully helpful representative, who very courteously and expeditiously ordered my replacement part. This is so refreshing in an age when such customer service seems to be almost entirely a thing of the past. Bravo, Lifetime!

Sturdy well sized box. This was easier to assemble than I thought it would be. The finished product has ample storage space. The lid closes easily and is secure. I like the arms on the lid that prevent it from slamming shut. It fits easily on my deck. The instructions were somewhat hard to follow. I downloaded the BILT app which made the assembly relatively simple. The price is good for this product.

Sturdy and easy to assemble. The assembly directions were well written and easy to follow. This is a great storage box and it holds a lot of stuff. It seems sturdy. I have mine full of outdoor decorative items. It also has a latch which can be secured with a pin or padlock so it won't blow open in a strong wind. The hydraulic lid supports keep the lid from falling on your head when you are getting things in or out.
