Appears to be of good quality. Very sturdy and should be durable. Assembly was relatively easy although one of the pistons for the lid would not attach. Had to call Lifetime and ask them to send me another piston. Hopefully it will attach properly.

We purchased this from Costco The installation was very fiddly and not as simple as the instructions showed. The gas springs on the lid seem to be at weird angle and appear to stop the lid closing tightly although having a lock helps. The front of the box looks slightly bowed also. It does keep garden cushions dry. We were missing 1 gas spring and emailed the company directly and we’re sent one in the post - great customer service.

Over all this is a nice storage box. The problem was, about 10 of the important assembly screws were totally wrong. They were way too big for parts they were supposed to secure. Also, the gas springs to keep the lid open were impossible to get on. And I mean impossible. Several big guys tried with no luck. Apart from that, everything else was ok.

Bought this last week and after putting it together realized one of the compression rods was broken. Called customer service and left a message on Saturday. On Monday customer service had called back and was shipping me the replacement part. Customer service was excellent.

HORRIBLE assembly instructions!!! While surprisingly all the parts and hardware were present, there is no clear instructions on what pieces and/or direction of pieces. I am by no means an expert on assembling items but have my fair share of being able to “muddle through”. I spent over 4hrs trying to assemble and still unable to figure out how to attach hinges, support bracket and interior hook for lock attachment. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!

Some assembly is required but it is totally worth it. This is a high quality box. A drill is required but I don't recommend using a power driver unless it has a setting to reduce torque. The box is made of plastic so with enough force the screw can strip the plastic. The lid is strengthened with metal pieces for the locking mechanism and installation of struts. This makes for a very good product. Ours has not leaked after enduring a couple heavy rains.

The box is sturdy and good looking but assembling this was a chore. The screws that held the four sides together were so close to the edge that we needed an angled screwdriver...there wasn't enough room to turn the screwdriver normally without driving them in at an angle. We also needed a vise grip to hold the corners square while we finagled around with the angled screwdriver. The holes for the hinge bolts were not pre-drilled, just indents to show where they went. We had to drill pilot holes. And the cryptic instructions listed the wrong size socket. Our deck was littered with tools when we finally finished. But it's done, it's nice and it is very roomy.

I have enjoyed the 150 gallon outdoor storage deck box for almost three years. It is a well designed and manufactured product that has stood up remarkably well to the high heat, humidity and precipitation in Florida. It's still Florida though and when a few of the metal components showed signs of rust I emailed customer support and got a prompt reply and shipment on the parts I needed. Great product and customer support!

Purchased through Costco. Takes a bit longer to build that I initially thought, but the result is very solid construction. There was a piece that did not fit properly upon construction, however, customer service at Lifetime was very helpful and took care of the issue with one call.

Poor review only because a lid hinge was missing and it will take minimum of 6 weeks for it to arrive. The manufacturer should either ensure better QC or have parts available in a more timely manner. If not for this, I love the storage box, just can't use it because the part missing was one lid hinge.
