Terrible item to build. I should have listened to the other reviews when they said that there are no preexisting screw holes and you literally have to make them yourself I gave up halfway through because it was impossible to put together by myself.

I’m new to this. It’s ok. Not built to last forever but 10-20 years sound like it. So many different size nuts and bolts. With right tools (sockets and wrenches) u can do it in 3-4 hours. 116 gallon is honestly small. If u r putting only very small items like trowels and gardening “fast moving” items it might be enough but I wish for 200 gallons and up so I can store brooms or longer tools. I had to improvise on holes for nuts and bolt. It wasn’t predrilled. So that was also a turnoff. Think in ten years when this goes I’m gonna build my own using wood-base design (like a mini shed). This is definitely cheap material with plastic that technical ppl know will not last. Designed for repurchase or repeat customers. If u r handyman u r better off DIY project. This is my first attempt at buying prebuilt and reaffirms that we are better off doing it ourselves using better materials. I feel like this was even 3d printed with plastic. The advantage of this is of course saving on the time from research design but bc imo it wasn’t built to last (as many commercial things are these days) one is better off spending time to creatively go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy raw quality materials. And if u do go for this spend $150 ish on a 200-gallon size version which is available on a sale.

The box itself seems very sturdy and made of good quality materials. It is very room inside and so far through several days of rain has stayed dry inside. The only con - the directions could be a little better. There are a couple of places where you are drilling into the plastic itself and there is no whole. We would have saved some time putting it together if they just stated that. We had to stop and look it up on YouTube to make sure we were understanding the directions correctly because we assumed there would be a whole. Other than that small detail, so far so good and we are happy with the purchase.

I have several Lifetime products and all have been great, except deckbox lid which warped. I contacted the company, and to their credit, they said they would replace the lid. Last night I got an email that new lid was delivered but apparently not to my address becuase it is nowhere to be seen. HELP!

I'm very pleased with my 150 gallon storage box. It was easy to assemble for one person but give yourself room to spread out pieces. The deck box is well constructed, sturdy and surprisingly, seals well enough to keep the dust/dirt out. My box is outside under a patio cover and has experienced temperatures from 110 to 0 degrees. I have not noticed any warping or weakness. Very pleased with product.

Product seems made of quality, durable materials. The directions to assemble were as unclear as only an engineer could make them. Seriously the pictures were minuscule with few close up views. How about putting a few stickers with messages like "Left side, Right side, bottom" etc? I'm pretty good at assembly/making things and I got the thing almost 100% assembled before I realized that the sides, which are almost identical, were reversed. So It sits outside waiting for clement weather to re assemble the whole thing.

Purchased with the intent to declutter my front porch of random stuff i inevitably need/use after putting away somewhere else in the basement (automotive tools, ramps, cleaning supplies). Held everything that was there and still have lots of available space. This is DEFINITELY a 2 person build. Luckily my daughter helped me assemble it. So far I am pleased, but with some upcoming bad weather that's approaching and some on line reviews of similar porch boxed storage units NOT being waterproof as advertised, I'll guess I'll just have to wait and see if it a great investment or just another false advertisement. So for now I'll rate it a 4 and will update at a later date after the heavy rains pass this week.

the box is sturdy, and very nice. I have had it outside in the rain several days, on my deck, and it is dry inside. It was easy to put together too. The top is a little out of square but just needs something semi heavy laid on each end for a few days. We love it

Bought this product about two years ago. Holding up pretty well except for the gas springs. The pieces that connect the gas springs to the box and lid are made from plastic. Over time the force of the kid opening causes the gas spring to strip the threads in the connects causing them to fall out. The lid becomes non-operative. The two connectors at each end of the gas springs need to be made with metal.

Purchased through Costco. Takes a bit longer to build that I initially thought, but the result is very solid construction. There was a piece that did not fit properly upon construction, however, customer service at Lifetime was very helpful and took care of the issue with one call.
