This is at least third one we have purchased. We've left them with all the houses we have sold. This box holds enough cushions for 4 patio chairs, a carpet, two flag poles and flags. Everything stays dry in the rain/snow. We don't put a lock on the lid, but we do use a clip to make sure the lid does not blow open in strong winds. We had one issue with the current box lid, but Lifetime replaced it. We will continue to buy Lifetime products and particularly the outdoor storage boxes.

I saw this at Costco, and after reading the reviews I ended up buying it. It is exactly what we've been looking for! After the crazy storms that came through it was bone dry inside and didn't move at all. I love that I can lock it when going out of town, it was pretty easy for husband to assemble, and it holds our deck items perfectly!

Great features, (gas lift, weatherproof, aesthetics) but difficult to assemble. I frequently assemble flat packs, but this one was difficult even with reports of being easy to assemble. Plus, you need at least 5 sets of tools that would not always be available in a household that doesn't need these for a trade. Instructions were easy to follow though.

I have had this storage box in my backyard for over three years. It has full expose to the elements. There has been no water noted inside the storage box, even after the heaviest rains. Additionally, there has been no warping or misalignment of the lid over the years. I am very happy with this purchase. Jeff in Maryland

Well I’ve owned many other Lifetime products over the years, such as their picnic table, folding chairs and folding tables, this product simply does not live up to the Lifetime brand name. Let me start by saying I would agree with the other reviewer‘s who mention the poor assembly process. There are no pre-drilled holes for the bolts that hold the lid together. Also, be sure to have a entire ratchet set handy, as apparently lifetime thought it would be appropriate to have different size bolts and hex nuts for this project. The lid itself does not close flush. Like many other reviewers, I assemble this in my garage on a flat surface. There’s no reason why after my assembly the lid should not close flush. Furthermore the walls are made of a much thinner plastic the most Lifetime products I’ve experienced. The only reason I’m giving this to stars instead of one is the fact that I pick this up for $99 at Costco. If this were $250 like Lifetime’s website suggests, do yourself a favor and walk away now.

I did extensive research while looking for a deck box and chose the Lifetime model based on durability and protection from the elements. I have had the box outside next to my garage for two weeks now and no water has gotten in after several rains. Also, thankfully no spiders or insects have made their way inside either. It appears to be sealed quite well. No caulking needed. The box is the perfect size for 24 x 24 patio cushions so I'm quite happy with this product. Installation was fairly straightforward IF you have the right tools. I bought a socket wrench specifically for this and I'm glad that I did. The only downside is that during installation, the 3/8" bolts that attach the support bar to the lid seemed to be metric and not imperial-sized. Neither my 3/8" or 1/4" wrench would fit. Also, attaching the support bar involved some headscratching as the bolts appeared to be too large for the holes in the support bar. I found that screwing in the bolts before installing the bar to create a "groove" for the bolts made all the difference. Once I did this, it was much easier to screw the bolts into the lid.

I have photos but it’s not letting me upload them. I finally put the storage box together. The assembly is difficult and the instructions kinda suck. The plastic does NOT have pre-drilled holes so you need to use a drill. The lid assembly was difficult the bar that goes across it needs a sticker saying front right & front left so the holes can line up correctly. If you are having trouble lining it up just turn it around. Not upside down just turn it. I have not used it outside yet so I don’t have a review on that part.

I will start off by saying the storage box is attractive looking and roomy. My main complaint is that the top lid has not only warped but also has started to buckle. This occurring in only the second season of usage. For the amount that this storage box cost, it should have maintained longer than it has.

This storage box has made clean up easy with the kids yard toys. I was constantly picking up the kids toys around the yard, now they have a place to put them. We also occasionally use it as extra seating on the deck. Overall I couldn't be happier with this storage box, it absolutely does what I need it to do and some.

I watedfor a very long time for it to come in due it being out of stock. Got it yesterday my son who is very mech.inclined andn me who isn 83 put it together. The instructions could have been clearer but that you look over and easily make clearer. I would give it 5 stars but can only give it 3 or 4 which is still pretty good. The manuf. and quality control should really look into the fact that some holes do not line 4 up properly. My son had a very hard time attaching the bottom and parts of the cover metal strip due to mis-alignments.i never write any reviews but such with such a good reputation that Lifetime has it would behove you to look into this. The box was broken on the ends but no damage inside. We really do love it.
