Have bought whole beef tenderloin (Choice and Prime) many, many times in last 10 years, first time at Sam's. Pros: Great value for Choice cut. Makes an impressive presentation. Cons: Once opened from package, the tenderloin appeared to have been "slashed" deep into the meat during processing. Not much care taken. Flavor - even for a Choice cut, the flavor was sub-par.

I buy these all the time usually around 100$ and it lasts a month or two and it’s worth every single penny. I cut up and portion this meat, freeze it, and defrost the night prior to eating and marinate in a1 New York marinate and WOW. This steak literally FALLS APART like a juicy roast would. Soooooo good, definitely buy this!!! Especially if you like meat! I will NEVER spend a penny on another steak again. Taste better than filet mignon times 1,000 any day of the week! Once you buy this you’ll never buy a different cut again or any steak from anywhere else
