I only eat Filets so getting this saves us money
Shance0901 - 3 out of 5 stars review4/30/2022This is a really delicious and tender cut of tenderloin. I bought a 6.63 pound tenderloin. I trimmed off 2 pounds of fat and ended up with 1 pound of small pieces to use for stir fry and approx 3 1/2 pounds of extremely small filets. So after trimming, I was left with a tenderloin that cost me about $26 per pound.
Tasty but costly after trimming

Forklifttech79 - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/18/2024We smoked on in the smoker, everyone ask where I got the meat from because it was so tender and good.
Beef tenderloin
Deb - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase8/8/2020Fantastic meat - tender and juicy and a great value. We cut it into steaks, vacuum seal them and freeze until ready to use.
The Best Beef
- 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase7/9/2024I’ve never bought steak from Sam’s Club before so I didn’t know how good it would be. It was so tender and delicious, worth much more than what I paid. I would definitely do it again.
Delicious!
EFS - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/7/2025We made part of our tenderloin into a Chateabriand for Christmas, cut several filets to use later and used the “heel” to bake as a Beef Wellington”. Great price for getting several fabulous beef dinners!
Super tender beef tenderloin
Maria E - 4 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/31/2024Tenderloin was in good shape (not ragged from butchering). Flavor and texture were good. It was easy to trim into roast with trimmings for another meal.
Good value for good piece of meat
JB - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/10/2024I’ve purchased tenderloins from Sam’s for years and they have been excellent. This year, not so much. Not as good a cut as in the past. Hope this was a one time occurrence.
Only so-so this time
Kcstar - 2 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase3/16/2024Per pound I found it cheaper at Walmart in both size and price. You would get 1.5lbs. More at Walmart at $15 less. The 2 stores are right next to one another
Cheaper at Walmart
The Blind Ref - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/2/2025This meat is excellent. I served 2 whole tenderloins plus a 9 lb ham to 35 people on Christmas eve. I know how to cook this and it turns out great. Awesome meat. Would be better if it were grass fed, organic.
Fed 35 for Christmas
DOC - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/22/2025First time I bought a beef tenderloin for Christmas dinner from Sam’s Club. It was absolutely delicious! I cut the meat with a butter knife. It was very tender.
Fantastic Beef Tenderloin
Lynn - 3 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase12/31/2022Good meat, but lot's of waste after trimming. Probably would have been better to buy pre-trimmed at the higher price. Same investment I think after trimming packer cut.
trim waste
