I bought a dual composter some years ago. I very much have enjoyed this product, but over time, A lot of the metal pieces had rusted. I called customer service and the agent was great. He was able to track down the parts I needed, and is sending them on their way .

I was pleased to find out that I could order parts that had rusted. Better yet!! They were replaced at no cost. I have had my composting bins for 3 to 5 years (can't remember exactly how many as time flies) and have great results versus the old fashioned way of just having a pile out back.

Nice upgrade to 100 gal (dual 50). Best price for this Tumbler by far and was fairly easy to put together with the video and visual step by step instructions via "Bilt" app. Have had it about a month now and the first batch is almost finished..Now starting the second tumbler. Got first batch to 140 early on. May buy a large grill cover to put over it to save on direct UV, but should hold up well.

The double bin composter does exactly what it is supposed to do....When I buy something and it does what it is supposed to do I have a problem leaving a review. Why should I praise a company because their product actually does what I paid for?!?! BUT THAT'S NOT WHY I'M LEAVING THIS REVIEW.....Lifetime has, hands down, the best customer service you will ever experience!!!! (imagine about 1,000 more "!"). I have had to call them up a few times for minor issues due to wear and tear and they have ALWAYS been extremely helpful, polite, and courteous. There are two things I can promise you: 1. When you buy a composter, small things will start to eventually fail, and 2. No other company will stand behind their product the way Lifetime does.

I own 3 of the double bin's, purchased yearly even though there have been a few problems. The oldest/first problem happened during the winter a few years ago. While attempting to rotate the left bin in the middle of winter the metal holding pin broke. Later the metal pin on the Right bin bent. It's still usable and rotates you just can't lock the bin's into place anymore. Since the pin's are central to the construction I never bothered to contact support. Lesson Learned, Don't rotate the bin's in winter. Fast forward to this year and a "younger" bin the metal hinge rusted apart. If you can't close the bin then you can't rotate so I dug up the manuals and contacted support. It's an excellent product, and I'm satisfied with my multiple purchases. What would I have liked to know before purchase? Don't rotate bin's in the winter. The pins are solid and can hold them in place. But rotating in winter the cold and friction are just asking for trouble. Besides, in the winter you want to get back inside the house anyway!

Pros: Superb tech and parts support for issues with the composter. Using a tumbler is the easiest way to turn compost piles. Cons: For me, composting works best when the material is in contact with earth, rather than suspended above. Earth-contact composting works faster, makes better compost, and is less inclined to stink.

I too had the interior hardware rust on my double rotating compost bin. I was on the phone with the Lifetime customer service representative and he kindly, and quickly agreed to send me all the parts I need to replace the hardware free of charge! It was a great interaction in this day and time where customer service seems to be almost non- exsistent. Thank you!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using them for 6 months and am getting great results, easy to fill and keeping rats etc out, I am able to remove simple bins and my garden looks more organized and tidy. I also find it easy to load the compost into a wheelbarrow, I am developing raised beds and would not be able to fill without my Rotating Compost Bins . I also must state that it is so clean an simple to use. I find it easy to clean and keep using.

I spoke to Adam Edwards, he was great helped me figure out what replacement parts I needed. Guided me to take photos of my existing parts to make sure we got the right ones. All and all above and beyond what I was expecting.
