Picked this up last weekend and was totally impressed. My old composter was all plastic and collapsed under its own weight. This unit is built to last and sturdily constructed. The internal venting system should work well and it tumbles easily to mix the compost well. Told everyone at work about it and a couple of them are considering purchasing one as well.

I bought my compost tumblers 5 years ago. Some of the parts rusted and I was unable to open it up to fill it. I called the customer service to get a replacement parts to fix it. I was afraid that because I didn't have the receipt or anything left of the purchase that it would be difficult to get. The guy ask me what was wrong and when I had purchase it. With out hesitation he asked for my address and told me when it should get to me. I offered to pay for shipping and he said it was already included.

I sent an email requesting a replacement part to my dual composter and received a very timely and courteous reply and even received the part free of charge - on the warranty. The email communication, service and delivery was very good. And I do like my composter !!

I have 2 of these composters, giving me 4. I like having 2 so you can start one and then work an another when that one is full so you can keep composting. I put i grass clippings, leaves, kitchen scraps and even a little dirt to keep it going. I found that oak leaves don't compost well so brake them up if you use them. I also found that keeping it moist made it work a lot faster. I would add water to it weekly if it got to dry and it would compost a lot faster. Setting it up was a bit of a chore but they are solid and work well. I have used them for a year and half and I got some really good compost. It does take time though. It took me about 6 months. If I had known to keep it moist I could have done it faster. It's been nice not to waste my grass clipping and kitchen scraps and leaves in the garbage. I'm getting good soil and it's rewarding.

I purchased this product some years ago. It is one of the more expensive composters. If you want a product that will be functional and great to operate for 6 months to a year you have found it. But if you are expecting one that will continue to be functional for an extended period of time look elsewhere. The metal materials rust and cannot be turned due to corrosion. I continue to use but can no longer rotate bins.

Called about a cracked black plastic foot on one leg of my double composter, which fell out. Was asked about the other 3 (that I hadn't looked at), but I didn't know their condition. No hassle, they sent out 2 (extra 1, just in case). Got them 5 days later. Thanks Tony!

Lot of things to love about this composter until the problems start. Needs a warning about metal parts that rust and then the composter lids will NO longer open. I was taking good care of my composter but unless I had a roof over the space where I stored it, this was going to happen in time!! Things to love - great size and height that made it easy to access and use, 2 bins were great - you could keep adding while the other bin was "cooking", it is well made except including metal bars inside the bin so it could open or be locked; I kept mine in good shape when I realized what was happening BUT one day the rusted parts just would NOT open and the composter became useless!

I wanted to thank Terry for his excellent customer service. During the lock down we had the opportunity to cook more at home and, consequently, a lot of biologic waste. We bought the composter a long time ago and some of the hardware got rusted. Making it difficult do use the drums to full capacity. Terry helped us every step of the way shipping all required material to fix our issue. Thank you lifetime . Because of this superb experience we just bought a new lifetime kayak. We know now it will last a life time and the company will be there, if help is ever needed.

Really like the ability to have two rotating chambers that can house compost in different degrees of completion. Rugged construction and the black housing attracts and retains heat. Rear hinge seized after 2 years but customer service is sending new ones, so I'm happy and satisfied.

I enjoyed putting the composter together with my girlfriend. It definitely helps to have two people to put the product together. It took us about 7 hours. It was not a continuous 7 hours, but the construction took place over a period of a week. I am legally blind so there was an excuse not to get it done in 2 hours. I have it setting outside and it is already loaded with composting material. Thanks for the product. My girlfriend was excited due to the fact we did not have any parts left over.
