This product is drop shipped by another company, when I received mine it was wrapped like a mummy in tape to cover all the holes in the worn out box. The company ( UnbeatableSale Inc.). Has a terrible return policy and it cost me 109.00 dollars to return this product. I never opened the box because it was in such bad shape and I could tell it wasn't fedex because of how the box was repaired. Why did I return it? Principle, a product in such bad shape obviously opened and returned before should never be shipped to another customer again. Oh and it has been a month since I returned it verified by fedex and still no refund.

Bought the Dual Compost Tumbler a long time ago, maybe 5 years. Love it. Taken pretty good care of it by cleaning the rusty locking mechanism every 6 mos or so. Was a little disappointed they weren't more rust resistant. Anyway, finally rusted shut and since they work great for us otherwise, I called to see if I could buy replacement parts. Talked to Luke in customer service who quickly volunteered to ship them for free. He did this without me complaining, threatening, whining or anything. The company stands by its products, hires terrific associates who deliver amazing customer service. Many thanks!

I'm a backyard gardener and understand the value in making your own compost. Rotating (or "tumbling") composters are one of the best ways to make fast, nutrient-rich compost. I've tried a lot and have been most impressed with those made by Lifetime Products! I own their two other models and have been happy with them, but when I saw this double-unit I decided to swap out my tried-and-true singles for this one double. Assembly was much easier and faster than the previous two models (which weren't that difficult to begin with). It took my 11-year-old daughter and I about two-hours to put both together. I love the one-handed operation which makes these much easier to open and close, and they spin very smoothly. The cantilevered design gives you easy access to put your wheelbarrow under them and dump your compost right into it. Talk about well-thought-out! And they look good, too!

We have the newer model of this composter. It looks like barrels. It was a terrible pain to assemble, but once put together, it is sturdy, good looking, easy to turn and fill. The only other minor negative thing is that the red tab that indicates the barrel in use faded in just a few months. We've already had two batches come out since February.

I bought this over 4 years ago and I love it. Its easy to use and it looks great. It keeps all the compost inside the tumblers and this elimintaes many of the odors and mess associated with composting. Animals cannot get into the tumblers and that gives me piece of mind. The only draw back I experienced was that the metal hinges after years of use did give out and actually broke away from each other. I called Lifetime and they sent me replacement hinges for both without hesitation. They were easy to replace and now its like I have a brand new composter. I truly appreciate a company that stands by their products. I definitely recommend this composter for anyone that wants to have success composting, does not have a very large space and composts small quantities at a time.

I sent an email requesting a replacement part to my dual composter and received a very timely and courteous reply and even received the part free of charge - on the warranty. The email communication, service and delivery was very good. And I do like my composter !!

I have 2 of these composters, giving me 4. I like having 2 so you can start one and then work an another when that one is full so you can keep composting. I put i grass clippings, leaves, kitchen scraps and even a little dirt to keep it going. I found that oak leaves don't compost well so brake them up if you use them. I also found that keeping it moist made it work a lot faster. I would add water to it weekly if it got to dry and it would compost a lot faster. Setting it up was a bit of a chore but they are solid and work well. I have used them for a year and half and I got some really good compost. It does take time though. It took me about 6 months. If I had known to keep it moist I could have done it faster. It's been nice not to waste my grass clipping and kitchen scraps and leaves in the garbage. I'm getting good soil and it's rewarding.

I bought this composter more than a year ago. It does an excellent job of composting the materials. One of the hinges rusted through and broke. I contacted customer service and they ordered new hinges at no charge. This is a company that stands behind its products!

I love the convenience of having two, ongoing composts and especially love that it is above the ground and rotates. This speeds the composting process considerably. I have had issues with rusting mechanisms, as many people have reported. I spoke with Nathan, in customer service, and he immediately ordered replacement parts for me. Great customer service, great product!

Bought the dual compost tumbler product over 5 years ago. Works great! Had recently problems with rusty latches that were stuck in place similar to other posts. Called customer service and had better replacement parts sent. Now I can keep composting!!!
