Hi. So the price is amazing, and for me, being a single parent, I can make this pork belly go a long way by cutting it into portions. You can use it in so many recipes. Two of my favorites are Crispy Pork Belly and Asian-inspired sautéed pork belly with veggies in my secret sauce.

Pork belly was vac packed and hard to fully see. When I got home and unfolded it it was mostly skin with a huge flap of folded up skin on the end with no meat underneath. When paying by the lb you are paying belly prices for skin. Total useable meat yielded about 1 8 inch section out of a 14 inch belly. Very disappointed.

After repeatedly asking my local store to carry they finally began to offer skinless pork belly for sale. Generally they appear to be skinned well and are of good quality. My only complaint is they are off sized and won't fit into a Foodsaver Bag for curing. (I make my own bacon) This requires me to trim them to size complicating the cure calculation a bit.

It look promising but the skin were ripped out so if you really want a pork belly, it's not worth it. Pork belly supposed to some with skin or it's not pork belly. As a chef for 40+ years, this is the most insane pork belly I've seen (it has no skin).

I bought this a year or so ago and have not seen it in the local club since. Made a great smoked pork belly. Would very much like to see this in my Frederick Maryland store again, especially as smoking season is about to enter full bore. What does one need to do to get this locally?
