It is not vacuum sealed and compressed so can be used immediately. Pillows were also not in airtight bag so they were not obnoxiously odorous. The foam is contained in an inner zippered bag so you can take some out if you wanted to adjust "fullness/thickness". Other foam pillows i've tried were too warm, but these i had no issue with. Put a pillowcase on and didn't notice the smell of foam. I was concerned it might feel "lumpy" but surprisingly wasn't an issue. No complaints after using for 2 weeks. Old pillow I would wake up with neck pains occasionally, but have had none with these.

This pillow is outstanding! It is well made, regains its original structure almost immediately when you get off of it (so there is not going to be an indent or flat area over time from use). It also stays very cool which helps contribute to a good night's rest, no more tossing and turning, constantly trying to find that one spot on your pillow that feels a little cooler! Overall, great quality.This pillow far exceeded my expectations.

I had the pillows shipped, and upon opening them there was a slight smell, it wasn’t bad, just noticeable. It went away after about 48hrs. When you hold the pillow it feels like there are small lumps inside the pillow, I was concerned it would feel uncomfortable while laying on it but surprisingly I couldn’t feel the lumps. As you can see from the photo there are what look like shredded pieces of foam inside. I did appreciate a pillow cover came with the pillows. I sleep on my back and my husband sleeps on his side. He loved the pillow, I thought it was alright. It is not a firm pillow by any means and I want a little more support around my neck. As you lay on it, you seem to sink more into the pillow. It reminds me of hotel pillows. Neither of us noticed any “cooling effect” I think this is a decent pillow for the price. I wouldn’t purchase it with the expectation it will cool you in any way though. Also if you prefer a pillow with more of a firm feel, this may not be the pillow for you.

I absolutely hate how quickly pillows flatten and have been hunting for a decent pillow for years now. I usually have to sleep with 3 pillows. But with this one i only need 2! I gave the other to my partner so we could both test them. This pillow with my other fluffy pillow underneath is perfect for me. Im only giving 4 stars because i dont notice a difference as far as the cooling aspect.

The serta gel memory foam pillow is the best pillow I have slept on. It is unlike any other pillow I have tried before. It has a foam material that provides a firm and bouncy support, and a grid layer that adapts to my head and neck shape and pressure points. It feels soft and smooth on my skin, and it allows air to flow through it, keeping me cook and comfortable. It os also durable and easy to clean. It is worth every penny and I would not trade it for anything else.

The cooling Serta pillow is very comfortable and optimally plush and firm. I was looking for a change in our pillows as we had pillows that were really giving us neck aches as they were not firm enough and would sulk too deep when we slept. These pillow provide good cushioning to your neck while keeping your posture apt. I would recommend this product who are looking for something not too stiff and like moderately firm and plush pillows.

They are uncomfortable, no support what so ever. The pillow is full of foam chunks after a while the pillow goes complete flat and you get no support around your head and neck. For someone who is looking for support and firmness, I wouldn’t recommend it.

This pillow delivered! My husband and I like different amounts of support and sleep in different positions. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we both will be using this pillow nightly. The kids loved it too making it and added bonus that this pillow is washable. It also comes in a two pack. The cooling gel memory foam was refreshing. This Serta pillow checks all the boxes as advertised.

I bought this pillow 3 weeks ago and overall I’m really happy with the pillows performance it’s cooling and sinks you in which is great for me and my dog loves it! So does my kid she steals my pillows when I’m at work I always have a good nights rest on this pillow and have almost no complaints overall!

I’ve been sleeping on this pillow for about a week now and it is great! It’s a heavy pillow and pretty firm. I am a stomach sleeper and it works perfectly for me, very comfortable. The cooling gel is very subtle. This pillow does not really feel any cooler than other pillows at first, but I have noticed that it just does not get hot which is nice! The included washable zippered pillow cover is definitely a plus!
