This pillow is very different from a typical pillow. The memory foam is shredded up pieces (see pic) inside a zip case. It is a very thick pillow, too thick for me as it holds my head at a weird angle and hurt my neck. However it is useful to prop myself up in bed for reading as it does hold its structure and not cause me to eventually sink down. I will be keeping these pillows for that use but not to actually use for sleep.

As someone who gets super hot as they sleep, this is a lifesaver. It is nice and full but not stiff as you lay your head down. As I was younger I gravitated towards feather pillows but this is much better for the support I need throughout the night. Highly recommend, I just ordered another pack for my kids as they now want “mommy and daddy’s pillows” so even the kids enjoy them

Night one with the pillow was so comfy! Very magical! The pillow doesn’t get “cool” but more is good at avoiding getting too hot, which is nice. I found that the pillow, while still soft and comfy, didn’t continue to offer the same fluffiness/support and comfort as it did on day one. I am a side sleeper and while comfortable, it wasn’t quite tall enough after several uses.

I was excited to try these new pillow from serta becuase of the cooling effect. I am very pleased to say that they are indeed much cooler than feather or alternate fill pillows. I tend to sleep a little on the hot side and noticed an imediate difference the first night. The size of the pillow was a little small for my liking but the gel memory foam is realy comfortable. It's not the perfect pillow but I am definatley sleeping better at nights.

11 year old review (my son wanted to test one pillow) : Best pillow ever! It stayed cold all night! 36 year old female review: Pillow is nice for back and side sleeping, not stomach sleeping friendly. Too fluffy for that. Had a mild chemical smell straight out of packaging but not too bad. Stayed cooler than other pillows would, which was nice, but I did flip once to get really cool side of the pillow the other night. Overall it's nice.

Pillow is great for a hot sleeper. At first I was out off by the lumpy look of the pillow, but with a pillow case on, you can’t tell. I like the height size where all standard pillows are the same length and width- the height of the fluff made all the difference. I normally use a down pillow. But this was a wonderful alternative. The gel memory foam isn’t one big block of foam. It’s fibered into bits.

Upon opening the pillows I was a little worried that they would be too thick for my liking, but once you try it out the pillow adjusts to the shape of your head really nicely. I do feel like it has a cooling effect as I get really hot at night and this pillow has helped with that issue. These pillows are really comfortable. I use them at night to rest my head on and during the day to rest my back on since I'm in my last trimester of my pregnancy. These are great refreshing pillows if you like feeling like you have a cloud surrounding your head while you sleep. They have helped me sleep better.

So night number three of my new pillows has been pretty good. This is the first time in a long time that I have not woken up with my neck hurting. The pillows almost feel like there’s chopped up pieces of firm-memory foam, so your neck kind of sinks into it. If you like a really firm pillow, I don’t know if this would be a good pillow for you.

I love this pillow! My body temperature rises when I'm sleeping. With this pillow, I'm able to stay cooler during the night. This pillow keeps it's shape very well and it's awesomely comfortable! I love the fact that it comes in it's own pillow case. I sleep with this pillow every night.

My husband and I tried this pillow for several nights. We normally sleep very warm so we thought the cooling pillows might be nice. But he and I didn’t notice too much of a difference. But on the flip side, my two boys liked it. It felt like a they were sleeping on a cloud.
