I have had a cooling pillow for several years which I also purchased at Sam’s Club. I was excited to hear they now carry the Serta Cooling Gel Memory foam pillow. After using it, the Serta pillow is soft and comfortable. I would rate the pillow softness as medium, not too firm and not too soft. I measured it as 23”L x 18”W x 7”D I found the cooling effect is very slight, if any. However it did seem to regulate my temperature. So if I was warm, the pillow didn’t also get as warm like my previous pillows without the cooling foam. At least that is what it seemed like to me. If you are suffering from hot flashes, for example, I don’t think this pillow will help with extreme body temperature changes like that. I was happy to hear that everything included with the pillow except for the pillow cover, was made and assembled in the USA. The pillow is also machine washable too! The pillow case has a zipper and so does the actual pillow. The instructions don’t mention this but if you wanted to, you can remove the filling in order to make the pillow softer or in my case, reducing the depth by 2”. This was helpful because it made the pillow align more with my spine while laying flat. But if you do this, just save the foam in case you want to fill it again. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. It is comfortable but the cooling effects are slight at least with my experience. I do like the option to remove/add filling and the fact it is machine washable too.

First opening these pillows I was a bit turned off by the smell and how hard they felt, but I had been waking up with serious headaches every morning for the last month. This pillow is a don’t judge a product before trying it! After the first night using the pillow I woke up without a head ache and in drool central. This pillow is just firm enough to offer the needed support and moldable to meet the needed comfiness. My husband is also an extremely hot sleeper waking up sweating most morning and his pillows REEK, we are now on day seven of using them and no sweaty head in the morning… he drooled too. Drooling sleep = the best pillows!

Definitely my new go-to pillow. I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this pillow is! I'm kind of picky and I've tried several different types of pillows. I've got shaped pillows, gel pillows, foam, and the cheap fluffy and they all fall short. We've also tried the ones with the foam chunks before and they all are either way TOO fluffy and crick my neck or they turn into a misshapen brick by the end of the night. This one didn't! It was perfect thickness, stayed fluffy and pliable and was all around a great pillow. My hubby really likes it too and he's usually fine with the "too think" pillows. We received these for free to write a review so I'm not sure about the value but I'm so happy with this pillow!

I really love the firmness of this pillow. It is perfect for propping up in bed and not too soft. The memory foam gives it some softness and is very comfortable, but over all it is pretty firm and supportive throughout the night. Unfortunately, it does not seem to draw heat away for its cooling feature.

Let’s start with the the appearance of the pillow. I like that you can unzip it and wash the cover. There is another case that is filled with memory foam. Sleeping on the pillow the 1st night was a bit uncomfortable due to me not being used to fluffy pillows. The second night I loved the fluffiness and slept like a baby. I highly recommend this pillow.

At first I was cautious of the product when I thought it might feel like the dog bed we had purchased, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The pillows are firm at first but allow your head to settle in perfectly without feeling bulky. No conversation with being overheated either. Happy with these pillows the last two weeks I've used them!

These are great pillows! I love that they can be used whether I’m sleeping on my back, side, or stomach, and the gel memory foam offers adequate support. The size of the gel foam is good, too, it’s not too small that it doesn’t hold its shape, or too big that you feel it too much. My husband has a hot head and usually wets his pillows, with these he only had to flip it once. That’s a win! If you have a really hot head, you should find a lot of relief.

My husband and I agree that these are the two best pillows in the house. Usually we sleep with you down feather pillows. These pillows are nice and hefty, yet still contour to our neck and head. Overall, I’m really impressed. It lost one star for smelling strange out of the box but the weird plastic smell dissipated overnight.

Pillow is above and beyong value for price, it doesn't feel like a airplane neck pillow foam type. It has chucks of foam tightly enclosed. It comes with a zippered pillow protector. Im not one for memory foam pillows but this one is very comfortable and cool. Great for back sleeping.

I love how the pillow in encased in a cover, but not only that you can remove stuffing! The pillow was too hard for my liking so I simply unzipped and removed stuffing! It truly conforms to your head. Now if you move on the pillow it will have an indention, but it quickly absorbs. Nice size pillows too! Hubby liked it also!
